Summary
Maddox Kershaw is the main vocalist of the world’s biggest boy band. He’s at the top of every music chart, every award show, every social media platform, and every sexiest-man-alive list. He’s the bad boy, the enigma, the man everyone on the planet wants a piece of.
He’s also burned out and exhausted, isolated and lonely. Not in a good headspace at the start of a tour.
Roscoe Hall is Maddox’s personal manager. His job is high-flying, high-demand, high-profile, and he loves it. Maddox has consumed his entire life for the past four years. Roscoe knows him. He sees the real Maddox no one else gets to see.
He’s also in love with him.
When the tour and stress become too much, when the world begins to close in, Roscoe becomes Maddox’s lifeline. But as Maddox knows already, and as Roscoe is about to learn, the brighter the spotlight, the darker the shadow.

Another great story from NR Walker
Loved this book from NR Walker. It chronicles a massive tour of a fictional world famous boy and Atrous. Their main singer Maddox is at the centre of the story and his relationship with his personal manager Roscoe, which develops into romance over the course of the book. It also deals with the isolation and overwhelming pressure that comes with being the face of the boy and and the relentless interest of the media and fans. I thought the narrator was excellent and really perfected the different tones and voices of the two main characters. Would highly recommend for lovers of MM Romance with an entertaining plot and just enough angst.

Amazing!
Story: I did not know what to expect when picking up this story but wow! It's a very emotional story that I loved every second of. The MCs and side characters are very well built and the whole story kept me engaged from the very beginning.
N.R. Walker created a brilliant group of characters and I cannot wait for more to come after this brilliant intro!
Narration: Very good easy to follow performance.

Pressures of a rock star
would never have thought about the pressures put on the people who give us all pleasure and the strain to the mind and body. With the love and romance of another man to help them through. Another gem from N R Walker who must have put a lot of work into this story

A great story
This story has so much more to offer even though this is about two people, a lead singer in a band and his manager.
The detail that Nic is known for is here in buckets. This author's research is second to none, which means you get an incredible story each and every time.
Nick Russo does an amazing job narrating, but he did have a great book to narrate. But as usual, I sped up the audio to 1.25.

A great love story and overall read
I love this book both for Roscoe and Maddoxs love story told in a quiet way against the backdrop of a tour which shows the hard work and stress of coping with fame. The portrayal of Maddox anxiety and how he needs a touchstone works so well even down to the end where change real change is needed to make a difference.
The narration worked well for me almost if not quite the voice in my own head when I read the book and really that is my highest praise.

Amateurish, generic and completely forgetable
I chose this book for Nick J Russo, who does a great job. The story is bland and predictable. Both characters are hot, talented and nice. Nothing more is added. We are not privy to hopes, feelings, worries or any kind of development. Description of surroundings is nothing more than size of real estate and name of the city they are at. Except for Maddox's appearance there is no mention of clothing, body language and facial expressions.
Add to that the lack of plot, arc, surprises and drama, and the result is just words.

Loves Band Boy
Good narration of v v v tiresome nonsense tale. This "manager" seems incapable of managing anything. The black magic understones/pentagram stuff is trite and banal. I feel totally duped by the title Code Red, as nothing clandestine, military, exciting or of major significance happens. Gave up 4 hrs before the end.
DULL
