About this listen
A sweeping small-town romance about love, loss, and a Montana legacy from USA Today bestselling author Devney Perry.
I met West Haven when I was eight years old. He taught me to play poker when I was nine, and we made paper airplanes together when I was eleven. He kissed me when I was sixteen. He was the best part about my family’s summer vacations to Montana. He was the boy who stole my heart. I was twenty-three when life ripped us apart.
Years later, I’m breaking my vow and returning to the ranch, not as a guest but its new owner. West might want me gone, but even he has to admit the only way to save his family’s legacy is with my help.
It’s not easy working side by side and facing those old memories. But this situation is only temporary. We’re at a crossroads. And as long as I don’t let myself fall in love with West Haven again, maybe this is our chance to put those ghosts to rest. Maybe this time we’ll finally be able to say goodbye.

Really enjoyed this book
This was my first Devney Perry book. It won’t be my last. Such a lovely story. And the narrators were fantastic especially Samantha Brentmoor. So much feeling put into the performance my chest ached a points until I was sobbing at the end as my heart breaked for Indya. Looking forward to the next instalment at Haven River Ranch.

Beautiful Lovestory
This is a wonderful beginning to Perry's new series. It tells Indya's and West's story, childhood friends and lovers coming back together at Haven River Ranch. A wonderful story and at times an absolute tear-jerker.
I thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Narrators were perfection!
I didn't want the book to end, it was incredible! I loved West and Indya. It was a heartbreakingly beautiful story and made me ball like a baby in parts. I can't wait for Jax's story!

Devney Perry does it again!
EVERYTHING about this book is brilliant! Indya and West’s story had me swooning and crying and I loved how the book moved from the present to the past, building up the plot and their relationship. Every book Devney Perry has written has got a five star review from me; I fall in love with the locations she creates and I can’t wait to see where this series goes. The narration was perfect too. Highly recommended!

Devney Perry never disappoints!
I have come to learn that Devney Perry never disappoints! I loved the story and the characters, even though the story seemed a little slow at times. The narrators' voices were pleasant and since I mainly listen to audio books when I am driving, this took me a surprisingly long time to listen to considered how much I liked it!

I did not expect to get that emotional!
I love Devney’s books, but this one I went in mostly blind and I’m so glad I did. The love story between West and Indy is so heartfelt, they were so intricately linked by an invisible thread. They always went back to each other. The plot line with the families was brilliant, I didn’t expect to feel as emotional as I did over Indy’s dad.
Fantastic listen. Great story, brilliant narrators who did it so much justice ❤️

Beautiful second chance romance
4.5 stars.
It probably would have been 5 stars if I was in a different mood, but I wasn't a fan of the flashbacks, for the most part. Sometimes I don't mind them, and sometimes (like this time) I wish the author would just show us their relationship in chronological order. With the way the story started, i was invested in their present and wasn't really interested in their early friendship. The only thing about their past I was interested in was how they got together initially, and why they broke up. which could have been shown in brief flashbacks. That being said, the glimpses of their childhood were nice to see.
I went into this completely blind, I didn't even know what the tropes were. It kept popping up on my instagram feed to I wanted to know what the fuss was all about. The fuss was well worth it.
West and Indya are strong, likeable characters. I loved seeing their emotional bond and how their love withstood all that it did. That reveal at the end was something I didn't see coming and I teared up. I was really invested in the characters at that point and the scene broke my heart. It was another moment where we saw just how much West loves Indya, in the way her supported her through it.
The narration was great. I love listening to both Connor Crais and Samanth Brentmoor, and together, they were phenominal.
