First book I have read by this author and whilst there were chapters where the storyline flowed the book did not grip me… as it was a Plus Catalogue I am not complaining

really liked the development of the characters and the team players. the button mushroom was annoying though. disliked him, so the writer dud a good job there

This story is an introduction to Jane Philips and her team. What a great start I’m already listening to book 2 and looking forward to the rest being uploaded.
I’m a Mancunian so I’m enjoying the geographical references, and the interesting insight into the world of policing.
The narration is a little inconsistent but it’s book one and I’m sure it will sound smoother as she settles in. I’m off to continue book 2 now. Download this to start your own journey and enjoy!

I love stories of revenge! This one isn't bad but would have been better had the narrator been stronger. Suitable for the female detective and female characters but far too weak for the male protagonist. However, the story held my attention and I made it to the end, so must have been good enough. Might just try another of this authors novels but perhaps seek a male narrator as preference.
