Teen Anxiety: A Practical Guide to Hope & Healing
As a seasoned author with a strong interest in human psychology, I found "Dealing with Teen Anxiety: A Simple Guide to Overcoming Anger, Depression, and Low Mood in Young People, Using CBT" to be a valuable and insightful resource.
Navigating the turbulent years of adolescence is a daunting task for both parents and teens alike. This book, expertly narrated, bridges that gap in understanding. Maggie presents a clear, pragmatic roadmap for parents to reconnect with their teens, illuminating the ways cognitive behavioral therapy techniques can aid in overcoming anxiety and other related issues.
The anecdotes and experiences that Maggie shares, especially those involving her relationship with her daughter Renée, humanize the often academic field of psychology. Renée's contribution gives the audiobook an authentic voice, enhancing the overall engagement and credibility of the guide.
Perhaps what struck me most was the emphasis on hope and resilience. This book does not shy away from addressing the challenges of parenting teens, but it also highlights the potential for transformation and growth in these relationships.
"Dealing with Teen Anxiety" is not just an audiobook; it's a life vest for parents wading through the turbulent waters of their child's adolescence. This guide's potential to make a genuine difference in the lives of parents and their teenagers is immense. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking guidance during these trying years.

10 out of 10
As a mother of a teen dealing with anxiety, I found this book incredibly helpful. Even though I have a background in Psychology I think it's difficult when it's your own child dealing with something. This book helped me step back and see things more clearly. I feel like I'm coming away with a new set of tools and reenergized to help my daughter. Highly recommend!

Be Happy aAgain
Anxiety and depression are, unfortunately, prevalent issues for teenagers — and for many of their parents who struggle to know how best to support them. Luckily, exceptional authors, who have written from their own experience with helping their teens navigate these issues, can provide valuable insight into what they have experienced. Providing details on handling these moments of how to help young adults take responsibility and become happy again. It was a cathartic read, both a practical and an inspiring reminder that tender patience and courage can go a long way in dealing with difficult times.

A must listen for parents of teenagers!
Having struggled with anxiety and depression throughout my adolescence I could relate a lot to the stories in this book. It is also one of my biggest fears that my son may experience the same challenges as a teenager.
The author does a fantastic job of relaying her story and the challenges faced with her daughter and sharing their journey and lessons learned, what worked, and what did not. I learned a lot from this and would recommend it to all parents, even if your kid is not a teenager yet.

Loads of Information!
As an adult that suffers from anxiety, I can appreciate this book. Growing up, this topic was never discussed, let alone having resources like this book. I enjoyed Chapter 5; I have always been interested in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. The author does a great job explaining and providing information on best practices for using it. I also like that there is a pdf—download with loads of other information and activities you can use as resources. Overall, I would suggest this book to any parent or teen dealing with anxiety.

Brilliant!
“I am tired but I can’t sleep, I am alive but I can’t breathe” - this line alone touched me to the bone.
Due to the fact that the author wrote this book with her teen daughter, it has a very relatable and genuine tone to it. Rarely do we have the opportunity to hear from both perspectives with a back-and-forth dialogue between a parent and teen child.
The book presents an open-minded approach to comprehending teen anxiety by taking a closer look at real-life examples. Having this book on hand puts parents in a better position to empower their teenagers and build strong family bonds throughout the process.
