About this listen
"If you want to stay, you have to play the game…"
Steele O’Brien is everything I hate in hockey players.
He’s cocky, brooding, antagonistic.
I played his game, learned his secrets.
But that was before I found out he’s my new stepbrother.
Now we’re at college together, and I can’t escape him.
Or his demons.
It seems that, for him, the game isn’t over.
He says I'm his to play with. His to torment.
And he's determined to not only get under my skin, but carve his name into it.

Dark & Delicious!
Now we are talking! S Massery always shows up just when I need her with a taboo romance that will not let me stop listening! This one is dark and devious, yet times of touching love. Steele is angry. How could his father marry that gold digger and bring the kids into their family? And now the oldest, Aspen is at his school spying on him so that his dad will continue to pay for her tuition. Well then, he will make her life miserable! And the story begins! It took me a while to like Steele. In one breathe his is likable, and in the next he does something so hurtful that I just want to hate him! Aspen is a strong girl. Her past has made her that way, and the constant looking over her shoulder is exhausting. Add Steele's manipulation to it, and she is both captivated and exasperated. But the step siblings click in a strange way. And when push comes to shove, and keeping Aspen safe, Steele can be counted on. A bit of a mafia feel, this story is edgy, dark and delicious. I could not put it down.
Teddy Hamilton and Desiree Ketchum are the story tellers for this one, and they tell the pants right off of it! Hamilton pulls out his dark side. I love it when he does it because the warmth in his voice is so deceiving! Ketchum creates Aspen with an inner strength that keeps her head up. She is quite a woman and the voicing is spot on! This team scores a goal with their performance!

Devious is the right word!
Absolutely loved this book. There are parts that are uncomfortable but so outweighed by the everything else! Loved it and nice to follow the story of the first book in the series!!

lackluster
3🌟
I forced myself to finish this book.. the plot was weak .. there was a lot of spice. but overall it was just a disappointing book.
For context I expected it to be as good as Pucking Wrong Number or The Ritual as they have some similar tropes. I regret this purchase.. and no I was not triggered by anything at all. I was simply bored by the under developed storyline & cliche things in the book. I was not sold as to why these two characters were together.
narrators did a great job
