About this listen
The Light strives to purify the kingdom of Starevos from evil...and only Dungeon Lord Edward Wright stands in their way.
The Heroes of the Militant Church, led by Inquisitor Gallio, scour the forest in search of the Haunt, while Ed desperately attempts to uncover the secret behind the Heroes' origin. Can Ed and his friends defeat the Inquisition and secure their own place in the world, or are they destined to become the monsters of their own tale?
All over Ivalis, the portents announce blood and fire as the ancient traditions return and abominable creatures long thought forgotten stir in their tombs. Both the Dark and the Light loom hungrily over the Haunt, and only one thing is certain...
If pushed, Dungeon Lord Edward Wright will fight against them all.
Soundbooth Theater is proud to present the third book of Hugo Huesca's horror/comedy/Gamelit epic, The Wraith's Haunt. Ed's challenges keep building, and this time he has to face the Inquisition instead of a new monster. And the Incquisiton's primary weapon is Ed's old guild! Join us for the best audio production of Dungeon Lord yet, complete with a standout performance by Annie Ellicott as the various ladies and spiders of the Haunt, and a stampede...of Hell Chickens.

Amazing series, all 4 books are awesome
I've listened to all 4 of these audio books and I have to say this series is top 3 I ever listened to. Period. And I actually do not like "gamification / LitRPG" concept in fantasy. That says a lot. The performance of the Soundbooth Theater is WOW, just... WOW. They really brought the book to life, I loved all the voices and effects. It may sound cheesy but in my opinion it's not just an audiobook it's an experience.
What I really did love about the book was that everything made sense. All actions had long-lasting reactions in the world. Character building was exquisite. It was amazing that even in book 4 so much from ALL previous books made perfect sense as if the author had everything figured out 4 books in advance. The mind brood idea was genius and how it fit in the world history and the impact of it. The main villain of book 4 was just soooo awesome. It was easy to almost agree with the main villain and think "maybe he is actually right !?" and that's what I call good writing. No soulless "haha I'm evil I want to destroy everything" but deep, meaningful stuff with seemingly real history, their own philosophy etc. Edward's crew and inquisition also had their share of great personalities.
Hugo, please do not even think of writing any spin-off books and concentrate on completing this story :) If Soundbooth team will narrate this this could end up being my favorite series ever. Big round of applause. *CLAP CLAP CLAP*

I read fantasy my whole life. these Dungeon Lord books writen by Hugo Huesca are easly in the top. the story, the characters, the hardship, struggles and victories make me feel part of this. I laugh and feel this. And then comes Soundbooth Theater and makes this the best listen book ever. Please do not stop this serie you people.

Slow build up
It was slow to start with a lot of narrative drama that did nothing to advance the story or spark interest. Once the crap hit the fan it picked up. I certainly don't regret listening to the series, but I felt there was a lot of filler material to finish it off.

Huesca, Hays and Wllicott Do it Again
I hihhly recommend this installment as well as the series as a whole. I'm already an avid fan of this story, and have enjoyed every minute of it.
RPG/gaming-style fiction is fairly new to me, aside from the Dungeon Lord books, but this series has really set the bar high. The author writes his characters with plenty of depth, and my heart was genuinely pounding with concern for them during some of the more dangerous parts. I don't want to see a single member of The Haunt come to harm and that kind of engagement is rare from me.
The recording team are also brilliant, and I can't fathom how talented they must be to cover the width and breadth of emotions, accents, inflections and tones for all the characters.
I'm so looking forward to the next one, and will save myself for the Audible version.
Thank you to the author and sound production team for some phenomenal entertainment!

Great stuff
Love the pacing in this book as it doesn't feel like the author is just writing for the sake of turning this into a cash cow. There's also a lot of depth here for those interested in not just the lit Rpg element but are also looking for a well written story.

what i was waiting for
The best in the series, makes up for the previous ones being comparably dry. The character development was far from stilted, the world building was consistently good. The lit rpg progression was original and gives that great rpg progression feel. Massively brings the whole series up a level.

great book
this is a really good book but has a few draw backs. I liked the narrator but I found the that sound effects reapply threw me off. the story is also really good. overall it's great, just the sound effects I found to be annoying.
