About this listen

Master Gardener Jennifer Conners is transported to a magical world to rebuild a dungeon filled with fairies and nymphs.

Unfortunately, a past enemy of the dungeon will stop at nothing to destroy her.

The Green Dungeon has lain dormant for thirty years. Now, a new Garden Core has been discovered. Jennifer Conners, a human with a trace of elfin blood, has been brought to the garden. Armed with only her knowledge of plants, her love of nature, and a Garden Fairy named River, Jennifer must rebuild the garden or perish.

However, just as Jennifer realizes being a Garden Core might be her true calling in life, a villain threatens her very existence. He brings a magical weapon with extraordinary powers and a raging desire for revenge.

But Jennifer is no ordinary Garden Core. She's armed with modern science, futuristic horticulture, and the help of her son's adventuring group.

Can a new, unconventional Garden Core and an inexperienced group of adventurers defeat a man fueled by hate? The fate of her world hangs in the balance.

It was okay lots of girly bits in it, but it wasn’t terrible. I proper listen to the next book if it comes out but

It was okay

the story itself is great, however there are 2 characters with the most nonsense reactions its infuriating

fern and jacob
let's start with fern, this girl seems to flip flop between regret that she sacrificed Jacobs mom to become a disembodied spirit forever and going "look I know I sacrificed your mom for my own gain but you should follow me so I can achieve my goals"

then there is Jacob, this guy is just a mess, in the span of ten minutes he goes between "my mom is missing and fern is responsible for it I need to get her back at any cost" and "oh hey fern I know you single handedly destroyed my life and took my mom for your own goals but your cute so I'm not mad" then back again

their priorities are a twisted mess of either nonsense or driven goals that make sense but neither of them can be understood in their reactions to each other. if I may it seems the author removed any animosity between them simply to push them together

mostly goof except for 2 characters
