Summary
Nathaniel, the new Baron Felston, awakes from a fever to discover he's a prisoner on his own estate. At first, certain he's gone insane, Nathaniel learns potent opiates are the cause of his strange vision. But, barricaded in a small room, he can't outwit his mysterious jailer.

Loved it
This is the 2nd book I've listened to by Kate Rothwell and I prefered it much more than the first one, The Earl a Girl and a Promise. I loved every second of Her Mad Baron I also prefered the narrator, Bobbie Hudson, much more than the other narrator. I will definitely be listening to more books by this author and by this narrator.

Saucy romance
A lot of saucy scenes, liked the back story but the intimate scenes seemed to take away from the overall plot at times. Really liked the narrator for this one, better than some of the other narrators I’ve listened to for romance novels. Thanks for the freebie Audible, will give some others a go by this author!

Promising open, boring development
The author is very good at unexpected, interesting beginnings! The opening of the book is tender, passionate and interesting, which looks incredibly promising, but after the first turning point it transforms into the usual baron meeting shopgirl story. Sexual scenes are well-written but tedious, the building of characters and their relationship hardly seen. The MCs are irresistible to each other—I get that bit, but no need to say this again and again!
The narrator does an admirable job.
