Taken aback but totally intrigued by Pheobe, Kane found himself engaged in a conversation with her as they waited for the coast to clear.
What started as a promising relationship took a sudden turn when Phoebe abruptly ended things without explanation, leaving Kane heartbroken.
When Phoebe faced a stalker, she turned to Kane for help, given his involvement in a security company. Despite unresolved feelings and unanswered questions, Kane was determined to protect Phoebe.
As they spent more time together, old emotions resurfaced, leading Phoebe to realize her mistake in ending things abruptly. However, the road to reconciliation was not without challenges, including confronting Kane's past adversary and catching the stalker.
Phoebe's intricate family dynamics introduced a host of new and intriguing characters, adding depth to the storyline.
Aiden Snow and Isabelle Ruther are masters at what they do. They brought the story to life with the depth of emotions and the sultry tones of their voices.

Aiden Snow and Isabelle Ruther were a perfect pairing for Kane and Phoebe. I believe this was my first listen with Isabelle Ruther and I enjoyed her narration and smooth voice. Both narrators were easy on the ears and really elevated the story for me.

I'm never very sure about the second chance trope but it all depends on the circumstances surrounding the separation and His Second Chance was certainly worthy of this chance.
Bu oh my goodness the Montgomery family just keeps getting bigger and bigger and the stories better and better.
There is some intrigue and some family disharmony and some pretty big stories that have been long kept quiet.
All of this creates a compelling story that keeps your interest from start to finish. AND in try Carrie Ann Ryan style, we have a great bigz clue as to who will be featured next in this growing series...I can't wait!

WOW - we knew Kane and Phoebe's story would be one huge story to tell. Well some authors might drop bombshells.... What Carrie Ann Ryan just did was wipe out the dinosaurs!
Not saying anymore because I don't want to even think of the massive secret that was revealed just incase you can read my mind. Just know you NEED to read this

Phoebe comes from a protective family which didn’t always mix well with her independent personality. She didn’t end her relationship with Kane because she didn’t love him and as they find themselves spending time together the feelings between them are stronger than ever and now they must not only deal with the past but the escalating threats as well.
Suspense that keeps you on edge, secrets you don’t see coming and two characters who realize that communication and love can overcome anything. The performance of the narrators brought out the defender in Kane and the spirited side of Phoebe as well as the special relationship they shared.
