About this listen
She was everything that I wanted.
He was everything that I despised.
Until she wasn’t.
Until he wasn’t.
Killian Cornelii was a walking calamity. He reached inside of me and touched every single inch of my ruined soul, but he didn’t just touch it. He caressed, petted, and captivated it. He tailored me to fit into the palms of his hands. The same hands that possess so much cruelty were the very same that comforted me.
I thought I knew him.
He thought he knew me.
This isn’t a fairy tale or some achingly beautiful story about two soul mates who instantly fall irrevocably in love with each other.
This is a story about a love so painful, so rich, that it destroys everything and everyone around it.
Including ourselves.
Midnight Mayhem is the platform Killian performs his tricks on, but the greatest trick wouldn’t come from him.
It would come from me.
Tricksters don’t have hearts.
They just pretend that they do.
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

Villains need love too
Our favorite resident Trickster is front and center, in this next stop of Midnight Mayhem.
There is so much more going on than meets the eye and if you think you know, you’re wrong.

Mystical In The Darkest Of Ways...
The storyline was gripping, the romance was HOT & and the pacing was very well structured and felt seamless. This story flowed.
The romance was filled with sexual tension and had a slowburn, but it doesn't leave you hanging. The love develops slower than the lust, but from the start I knew Killian caught her in his web. She just wasn't aware she was already ensnared. I really liked this, the plot was gripping and held an edge of danger that amped up the high stakes. I never knew which direction the story would take me, and that was addictive within itself.
If you do decide to read this, know that what I have said only scratches the surface of what's really hidden between these pages. Expect the unexpected.

DARK TWISTED SUSPENSE
Killian and Saskia are exactly what Amo fans are looking for. Though a standalone, it's always fun to see previous characters. The push and pull between these two make for explosive chemistry. The twists and turns ---LIES & SECRETS---kept me hooked as always, along with ALL the EMOTIONS!!! Did I mention the sexy hotness??? Oh Yes!!
As always the narrators were FANTASTIC!! Walker's voice is deep and smooth, an absolute joy to listen to. While Michelle brings Saskia to life. I look forward to more stories narrated by these two!

Amazing dual narration from Michelle Price and Walker Williams
A dark romance. Killian is not someone you’d want your daughter dating, he is full of arrogance and foul mouthed. Saskia is beautiful but has shields around her. Saskia and Killian their chemistry is electric . They are made to love each other and to break and rebuild each other.
Wow, this is dark , intense, suspenseful, mystery, angst, secrets, lies. conflicts , jealousy, and steam.

The trickster
WHAT JUST HAPPENED TO ME?!?!?!?!
Ok, I’m back. I’d say recovered, but honestly that would be a lie.
When we met Killian, back in IPLH, I was a little unsure of him, but let’s be clear now. I’m not unsure. I’ve worked through it, and he goes unwillingly on the list of book men from Jones that I wanna keep for myself. (Not that I can, because we all are familiar with certain hoarders in these parts.)
Anyways.
Saskia is their heroine that Killian NEEDS in order for him to achieve what it is that’s he’s set out to be.
Killian is the villain we all have to love.
I’m not gonna lie and say I ever got warm fuzzy feelings from this couple, but that’s not really what you’re here for anyways.
Things were messy, steamy, dark, & twisted. I was on my tiptoes the whole time, knowing I was gonna step in it and things were gonna go off.
I’m here for it. I’m an official fan of the Trickster, & I cannot wait for the next time Midnight Mayhem rolls into town.

Adore this series.
I got this audiobook at my request via a promo code and this is my voluntary review.
Book 2 of the Midnight Mayhem series is told in excellent dual narration by Michelle Price and Walker Williams. The way Amos Jones weaved this storyline has my mind working overtime, the descriptions create such strong visuals, it's almost like a VR experience. I have consumed the first two books in this series in under 48 hours and I'm just glad I got Book 3 all set for listening right after.
Killian and Saskia are what happens when Fire meets Gasoline. Their connection could not be denied. Killian Cornelii is 1 of 4 of the Brothers of Kiznitch, Saskia Royal is Persephone's latest recruit for their little Carnal Carnival.
"Killian is the kind of wild you want to run away with, not cage. He's an untamed animal, turbulent and vicious."
"Only Saskia isn't from heaven. No, Saskia isn't sent from God. That kind of beauty is crafted from evil."
No Spoilers! But as far as Heroine's go, loved Saskia! She accepts the life she been given, past and present, and as much as Kill proclaims to be a Trickster, you get the feeling shes running circles around the mind-bending illusionist.
“What, so the two villains in each other’s story won’t get a happily ever after?” I joke, winking down at her.
She smiles softly. “I guess the story is still being written.”
This story can be read as a standalone but it's clear that War is coming and darkness is threatening to swallow both sides whole.

in Fury Lies Mischief
I popped my cherry with In Peace Lies Havoc. I thought Amo Jones had fundamentally changed how I looked at and devoured dark romance. And romance in general.
She's only gone and done it again!!
How can one woman create such a manic, yet whimsical world, fill it with more drama than the CW headquarters during sweeps, romance and darkness to make even the most twisted of us blush or cower...THEN DO IT..AGAIN??
BUT DIFFERENT.
HOW I ASK YOU??
Because what Amo Jones created with In Peace Lies Havoc, she exponentially expanded upon in In Fury Lies Mischief.
There was twists. Turns. Drama. Pain. Love. Highs. Lows. Loss. Family. Found. The regular kind. Fire. Bikes. Cameos. Excitement? And that ending..

In Fury Lies Mischief
This book was a trip. I felt like every moment I was wondering what was really going on and waiting for more pieces to be revealed to put the complete picture together. But at the same time, I was caught up in the story telling and the evolution of the characters.
Killian and Saskia were like fire and gasoline most of the time, but they had this draw and connection that makes complete sense after all is revealed. As much as they both tried to fight it they just couldn’t stay away. Then again, I’m happy they couldn’t otherwise it would have made for one very strange and boring dark romance.
I have come to feel like Amo Jones is an author who is going to push my boundaries when consuming her books. Sometimes I love the complexity of the characters and the story lines. Other times I am appalled by the horrors some of them have had to suffer. But when it’s all said and done and the story has been told I end up loving it and wanting more. This book was a perfect example of that for me.

Dark & Captivating
In Fury Lies Mischief, the second book in the Midnight Mayhem series is a brilliantly woven dark romance. Amo Jones has created a whimsical world, an ever-changing kaleidoscope that captivates and enthrals. Saskia and Killian are enigmas, made but not meant for each other. The attraction is absolute, explosive, and dangerous, and neither Saskia nor Killian can deny the magnetic pull. Their story took my breath away, filled with darkness, light, pain, betrayal, revenge, passion, heat, family, and love. The storyline is exquisite and wholly unpredictable; my mind was further blown with every twist and turn. The mysteries were perfectly implemented, and the revelations intrigued me furthermore. There are elements in the story that is genuinely dark and not meant for the faint of heart, so be warned. Amo Jones handled those heart-wrenching and hard-to-read scenes masterfully. The ending was marvellous and gave us a prelude to the third book; I can't wait for Jones to unravel that puzzle.
Stellar performances by Michelle Price and Walker Williams. They both did an extraordinary job bringing the story to life. They understood the characters, flawlessly portraying their personalities, emotions, and connection. Midnight Mayhem is mesmerizing series, and each instalment opens a new door to a dark corner of the Kiznich brother's world and the women who capture their callous hearts. I'm wholeheartedly recommending the series.
