About this listen
If you were catapulted back to 1976, what would you do?
Jason Apsley has a mind-boggling second chance to change the future, but will he take it?
Meet Jason Apsley, a 42-year-old divorcee who's an opinionated, miserable bugger—struggling with life, exacerbated by his negative attitude. A random event shifts time, causing Jason to continue life in 1976, six months before he's due to be born. He even left behind Beth, his one and only friend who supported him through some difficult times.
Can life get any worse?
Although Jason is the same person, he finds himself teleported into the life of another Jason Apsley from a different generation, one with a very different outlook on life. All alone, Jason tries to enlist the support of his grandfather on this turbulent journey and finds he has to adapt quickly, as every encounter brings further head-spinning challenges.
But what of Beth, his one true friend who suffered a traumatic childhood? Will Jason be brave enough to seize this opportunity to change her past? Can Jason change the future and become more like other Jason, or will time refuse to bend?
Will Jason learn from his past and take this second chance?

Brilliant Story and Narration
I adored this both in terms of the story and the delivery by Lee. A huge well done to Adrian and Lee on this collaboration.
If I was to shoot holes, I'd just say the voice for Jenny bordered on hilarity, but didn't ruin it.
I'm excited to purchase the next book.

Enjoyable time travel adventure
I found this story funny, realistic in its description of the time period and enjoyed the twists and turns, which weren’t predictable.
The narrator was mainly good, however some characters reminded me of comedy voice overs eg. The South African girlfriend.
There was a nod to the plot of ‘life on mars’ but not by any means a copy. Jason is a believable main hero who we can empathise with.
I am looking forward to the sequel!

Great book - highly recommended
I loved this book. It's funny, well written, and I really like the self-deprecating manner of the main character. Excellent narration by Lee Beddow

1976, what a year!
The subject matter was the link to getting this read as I had fond memories of 1976.
overall a good listen with a sprinking of what 1976 was like but a bit more would have been nice.
I thought the ending was a little rushed. everything in the garden is good, knock at the door, next book.

Excellent
This was a great story, a lot different to my usual sci-fi genre, yet still found it ticking all the boxes and then some! I hope there’s a sequel. I listened to this entire book in one night, take a bow Adrian!

Weird voice of the narrator
The book was a nice time travel story. For me, it didn't break any new ground, but was a nice story leading well into a second book! I really found the narrator's voice difficult to listen to. I thought I was going to bin the book but managed to get to the end but it was not an easy listen. I find it odd that they choose a narrator whose voice distracts from the story. I won't be listening to the next part as it is again narrated by Lee Bedlow, no offense Lee. I may buy the second book and read it though as the story is nice.

Fantastic time travelling yarn!
Thoroughly enjoyable listen. Characters were excellently placed and the narrator did a fantastic job of making them both interesting and individualistic. I was gutted when it finished. After reading all of Keith A Pearsons books this was right up my street. As soon as I've finished this review, I'm searching for the authors other material! I hope there is a sequel to this story!
