Classic 2000AD.

This is classic 2000AD at its zargaz best. The story was action packed, and the fundamental ’us vs. them’ arch is eternal.

I’m really enjoying all the ‘2000AD’ audio books and I hope they follow through with continuation of what they’ve started.

The Rogue Trooper 🧟‍♂️

Back to the 80’s with a futuristic war story that started off very well and with a great sun plot as Rogue tries to avenge his friends! When it veered off with stories of aliens 👽 I lost interest, but these earlier plots are brilliant 🤩👍🏼
Well produced and great voice actor’s, well recommend 🤩👍🏼

Not sure I would, but enjoyed it!

As a fan of 2000AD and especially Rouge Trooper, I was apprehensive about an audio dramatization of the comic. I shouldn't have been. Though the music is dodgy the story came through unscathed.

Stak!

Incredibly episodic, but loads of good Ideas and light satire. The best ep is The Marauders which nods to Apocalypse Now.

Fabulous Rogue Trooper futuristic war action!

This 2000Ad Penguin audiobook was simply brilliant , exciting, and thrilling. The sound effects were first class and the audio drama flowed and played out excellently. The narrator was top notch and his American type accent revealed the story and drama well. In fact, the American type accents of the Southers and GIs was very appealing to listen to and gave a heartwarming and humane edge to one of the protagonist sides. The audiobook was compelling to listen to right to the end. As can be expected from war story audio dramas, there were plentiful sound effects of violence and death in the chemical ravaged planetscape of Nu-Earth.
The only drawback, is that this audiobook should have been longer in duration, eg 5 hours at least. It was all over too quickly but it gave a great audio dimension to the universe of Rogue Trooper.

Rogue Trooper

Quite good brought back memories of the early stories before the stories about aliens taking over. If any more audio books about the Rogue Trooper are produced use the stories set on Nu Earth .

Dispensing Rave Review

I thoroughly enjoyed this audio presentation. You can read all about how the Rogue Trooper picture strip was created for 2000 AD by Gerry and Dave in my memoir The Mighty One: My Life Inside the Nerve Centre.

Best remembered rather than rediscovered

Not the best 2000AD audible. I don’t like the episodic format which is too short but biggest grumble is that it does not sink in with so many voices and it works at a fast pace. I have enjoyed other 2000AD ones more.
