Summary
Coyote shape-shifter Mercy Thompson is attacked and abducted in her home territory. Fighting off a crazed werewolf, she manages to escape, only to find herself alone in the heart of Europe, without money, without clothing, and on the run from the clutches of the most powerful vampire in the world.
Unable to contact her pack, Mercy has allies to find and enemies to fight, but first she needs to figure out which is which. Ancient powers stir, and Mercy needs to be at her agile best to avoid causing a war between vampires and werewolves - and between werewolves and werewolves. And in the heart of the ancient city of Prague, old ghosts rise....

Brilliant
The book is amazing but switching between male and female voices was distracting. I'm not saying he was bad, it would just have been better with the one voice actor.

Great story as ever, slightly offputting narration
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
The story is fantastically worthwhile, not a good place to start in the mercyverse though
Did Lorelei King and George Newburn do a good job differentiating each of the characters? How?
They differentiated the characters well enough, but the accents were offputtingly poor. It's vexingly rare to find an American narrator that can convincingly differentiate European accents.

Great story
The story is as always excellent but I didn't like having two narrators. For me Lorelei King on her own would have been better.

Another good one
I struggled initially with the two different people voicing Adam and Mercy. The voice of Adam was jarring at first as it's really inconsistent with the previous audiobooks. I kinda got used to it and enjoyed the story nonetheless in the end.

Silence Fallen
Another brilliant scary story with mayhem, and mystery. Read brilliantly again by Lorelei King and this time joined by George Newburn as the voice of Adam.

The trouble she gets into.
It is quite amazing the trouble Mercy manages to get into. As he is her mate and rushes to help her when she gets herself into said trouble it is not unusual to find Adam neck deep in trouble beside her and this time is no different apart from the fact that apart from pack Adam takes with him on his rescue attempt a couple of vampires and a couple of Golems.

Narrator’s
Another fantastic story in the Mercy series Patricia Briggs does it best in my opinion.
Disappointed with the change of narrator’s Lorelei through from book 1 to add George in book 10 didn’t work for me his accents were too different from Mercy’s interpretation so sounded like different characters his parts were also told at a quicker pace . It spoilt the audible experience for me this time.

Using this space to cheat and let Mercy Thompson fans know that the missing four books in the series are now available :)
This series is still going strong at book 10

Patricia Briggs Brilliance Continues
The Mercy Thompson story continues at a pace. This is book 10 in the series and is as strong as ever.
Patricia's writing has produced strong characterisation with new individuals being introduced with fully developed personalities, some good and some not so good.
As often happens the storyline starts with Mercy happy and content and then her world falls to pieces. this time she ends up in another country, at the start having to rely on her own abilities.
Will definitely reread and I would highly recommend this book but I would, also say start at the beginning of this series, all the books are brilliant.
