Summary
She was commanded to kill him with a single strike to the heart. She didn't expect her own to betray her.
Sylina has sacrificed everything for her goddess—her soul, her freedom, her eyes. Life in service to the Arachessen, a cult of the Goddess of Fate, has turned Sylina from an orphaned street rat to a disciplined killer determined to overthrow Glaea's tyrannical king.
When a brutal vampire conqueror arrives on their shores, Sylina faces an even deadlier adversary. She's tasked with a crucial mission: infiltrate his army, earn his trust… and kill him.
Atrius is a terrifying warrior carving an unstoppable path through Glaea. Yet when Sylina becomes his seer, she glimpses a dark and shocking past—and a side of him that reminds her far too much of parts of herself she'd rather forget.
Sylina's orders are clear. The conqueror cannot live. But as the blood spilled by Glaea's tyrant king runs thicker, her connection with Atrius only grows stronger. A connection forbidden by her vows. A connection that could cost her everything.
Slaying the Vampire Conqueror is a standalone fantasy romance set in the Crowns of Nyaxia world, full of heart-wrenching forbidden romance, dark curses, and epic battles—perfect for fans of The Bridge Kingdom and the From Blood and Ash series. If you like forbidden romance, dark curses, bad*ss heroines, and morally gray heroes, you'll devour this sexy, addictive series.

I loved it another fantastic story from carissa broadbent! A must read!
I have read all of her books to date now & loved them all. I don’t know how she manages to make them all so engaging & the main characters so lovable. I was rooting for the love story throughout & it didn’t disappoint. It had the right amount of love, story, action etc

A solid 4,5 ⭐️ for me
4,5 ⭐️ - I can only say “highly recommended”!!!
Brilliantly written, Carissa is quickly becoming one of my fav. Authors 💖
2 🌶️ - This an enemies to lovers story, with a beautiful slow burn romance with a bit spice, graphic enough to say 16+
It is set in the Crowns of Nyaxia and despite the many saying that it can be read as a standalone, I will suggest reading “The Serpent and the Wings of Night” first. You will save yourself some time understanding the world around your reading.
For this story, we follow Sylina, a trained assassin acolyte for the Goddess Acaeja, entrusted to kill Atrius, the Vampire Conqueror who threatens her country.
Little does she know that her future is about to change when she accepts her mission and lies her way up to the vampire trust and heart, putting her own heart on the line.
I absolutely devoured this book up. It has:
✔ Unique Magic
✔ Action packed
✔ Enemies To Lovers
✔ Force Proximity
✔ Vampire X Human
✔ Deadly Quest
✔ Hidden Secrets
✔ Found Family

Who doesn’t love the Nyaxia series?! 😍
The question do begs… I suppose, only those who have not yet read it. (Coughing) a loud of “Suggestion” from me… go read it now!
This series will creep into your consciousness before you even know it. From book #1 with The Serpent & The Wings of Night— this series just take you far & way. I haven’t enjoyed a dark sexy vampire series like this since the days of —
“ J. R. Ward & her BDB ” series .
It’s intriguing, suspenseful & action pack & of course romances so beautiful, it might leave you breathless. With a storyline that entice you constantly, having one be wondering about the “bigger story” And yes there is a bigger story. And we love it and with each book one get closer to that big O’l Story.
Anything to do with a fickle wrath Goddess of vampires Nyaxia and her dark creatures are very interesting. The different Vampire Houses and all characters to further a story within a story, within a story.
Of course this one just pull things along nicely and give critical details of past actions and future outcomes. Meaning- “consequences” aka Nyaxia’s consequences. smdh - that Goddess though… seriously needs a act right!!
I can’t wait for another book to be release/published as Ms Carissa Broadbent has done really well here and I’m excited to continue on this Dark & Deviant path— (giggling)
Happy listening y’all,
(btw) Our Narrator was fab 🙌

Slaying the Vampire Conqueror
Well written book with enough action to keep you exited and a fantastic plot between Sylina and Attrius. I am still curious about how this story fits in the Crowns of Nyaxia universe. Will continue to read the books Carrissa wrote to find out more.

disappointing
the story felt rushed compared to CB's other books which I've really enjoyed. I didn't really get into this at all.
