Summary

NEW YORK CITY, USA. Archaeologist Nina Wilde's life has fallen apart - her husband, ex-SAS soldier Eddie Chase, is on the run, falsely accused of murder. Her only diversion has been investigating the origin of three strange statues stolen from her just before his disappearance. When Nina discovers they may be dangerous relics from the lost civilisation of Atlantis, it's clear that she has to get back in the game, and fast.

Meanwhile, Eddie tries to stay ahead of the authorities as he hunts the man responsible for his fugitive status across the globe. A mysterious benefactor offers the information he needs - but the price will put him in direct conflict with his wife.

TOKYO, Japan. When Nina learns that a Japanese industrialist has obtained the statues on the black market, she immediately heads to Tokyo to meet him, unaware that Eddie is also on his way. Their arrival unleashes a devastating chain of events that sets Nina and Eddie on their most dangerous quest ever - with the future of humanity itself at stake....

Really good listen

I have listened to this series of Chase and Wilde books from the beginning and although I find them far fetched they are entertaining. The culmination of the previous books makes the bigger picture mind blowing and clever!
The narration was good overall but the voice accents terrible. Characters voices would change , Nina didn’t sound American and Chase was just plain weird not Yorkshire at all . Matt was no where near Australian , the voices distracting me from the plot so had to re listen at times.

Epic story, poorly narrated!

Fantastic storyline, but wow, those accents were truly appalling! Narration was almost unbearable, I nearly stopped listening - fortunately, the story was strong enough to keep me interested.

These are some of the few books I just can’t put down, they are so well written and cinematic in the style of writing

Poor Narration

The story is good however the narration on this is not suited to these books. The voices were poor & at times worse however I will still continue with the series but please bring back Simon Mattacks.
