Andy McDermott is the bestselling author of the Nina Wilde/Eddie Chase series of adventure thrillers, which have been sold in over 30 countries and 25 languages. His debut novel, THE HUNT FOR ATLANTIS, was published in the UK in 2007; on its US publication it became his first of several New York Times bestsellers. He is also the author of the Alex Reeve thriller series about an assassin on the run (beginning with OPERATIVE 66), high-tech spy thriller THE PERSONA PROTOCOL, the Kindle-exclusive LEVITICUS GOLD murder mysteries and the Kindle-exclusive horror novella ITALIANATE. Andy recently sold the movie rights to the Wilde/Chase series to Netflix. His next novel is THE TEMPLE OF SKULLS, the 16th in the Wilde/Chase series, to be published in September 2022; the third Alex Reeve novel, GHOST TARGET, comes out in 2023. He recently signed a new contract for a 17th Wilde/Chase adventure, a fourth Alex Reeve novel - and a new standalone thriller with a killer premise, about which he is very excited! Andy's novels have received critical acclaim for their epic globetrotting scope and non-stop thrills, described as "pulse-racing adventure" (Northern Echo) with action scenes that "explode off the page" (Daily Express), while Andy himself has been called "a new master of the genre" (Le Figaro) and "a writer of rare cinematic talent" (Daily Express). He was also a nominee for the debut Wilbur Smith Award for adventure writing. A former journalist and movie critic, Andy was the editor of numerous magazines including DVD Review and the iconoclastic film publication Hotdog, and has also written for the acclaimed sci-fi comic 2000AD. He is now a full-time author. Born in Halifax, when not travelling the world researching his books he lives in Bournemouth with his wife and son.
