Summary

The 12th in the fantastic Wilde/Chase series sees Nina trying to follow in her late mother's footsteps as she and husband Eddie search for King Midas' legacy.

A return to Atlantis

The lost city has defined Nina Wilde's life. Her parents' obsession with Atlantis cost them their lives, but finding it brought Nina to her husband, Eddie Chase, and a series of archaeological treasures.

A secret codex

A decade later the International Heritage Agency needs their help to locate the Secret Codex, an account of ancient Atlantean explorer Talonor's journeys, thought to be located in the dangerous underwater ruins of Atlantis. Unable to resist one more adventure, the couple join the mission.

A king whose touch turns all to gold

But when a long-lost relative reappears in Nina's life, asking her to use the codex to find a hidden cave containing the secret of King Midas, she is unprepared for the devastation that follows. The promise of unlimited gold has aroused the greed of powerful and ruthless forces...and only Nina and Eddie stand in their way.

another exciting story.

Once again we find the story continues and the next chapter in Eddie's and Nina's life. Adventure and Myth mixed with spies and danger.

Everything that glitters is Chase and Wilde

Pew a helter-skelter journey, a story of rags to riches from here to eternity.
You know its so entertaining listening to these adventures makes my life seem so.., well different at least.
get on in there,

Another brilliant listen

This one was a little different from the others. I feel the author has grown and so have the characters. I living to see how far they have come. Can’t wait for the next one.

Usual chase and wilde

I enjoyed the book as I have with all other chase and wilde books but this one I feel wasn't as good at the previous entries. I feel the series is getting a bit tired now and coming towards it end.

Awesome!

Another great adventure for Nina and Eddie, full of action and an interesting storyline, looking forward to seeing what’s in store for these characters in the next book of the series. Highly recommended!

Juvenile

This is the first book by this author I have read. Correction: part read. I gave it my best shot, but I am afraid I just couldn't get past the juvenile plot( I presume the 4 and 5* ratings were made by 12 year olds), or the narration. I'm afraid that, even if the story had been brilliant, the dreadful accents, twee voices for female characters and the child, almost drove me crazy.
Finally, if one had just survived a mercenary attack and chase, would admonishing ones husband for swearing be the first words uttered?? I thought not.
A resounding thumbs down from me.

Far too long.

This one was far too long for me and I feel it was lacking in historical 'fact'. Disappointing. Also I find that Gareth Armstrong's narration is far weaker than other narrators in this series. I fear, that for me, Eddie and Nina have lost their way rather.

Narrator

Awful narration because of using the character accents. The child accent was the worst - sorry I couldn’t finish the book because of this.
