So realistically written
Very good story from start to finish.
Certainly opens ones eyes to the affects & aftermath of human nature once a solar storm has hit.

very believable story
this is the best and most believable post apocalyptic tale I've read/listened to, it would make a fantastic TV series far better than the zombie apocalypse nonsense previously churned out.

It will get you hooked.
Credibility of the story line is it's major strength , as far as I am concerned this could happen. I think the research made was excellent, the take on the worst side of human nature pretty much spot on the sad bad and heroic and good. I think once the book gripped you, there was no problem keeping the (at times) several and dramatic threads going. I have long noted that you guys in the States have the capability of defending yourselves effectively, if chaos ensues over here in the UK, we would be down to kitchen knives, they don't let us near guns, and its clear in these horrific circumstances, the only currency is the AR15. I think this was and excellent book all round including the masterful narrator by the way. The sad thing which I believe we on the UK share with you in the US is that we both expect that the great and powerful would look after themselves first. Thank you.

Fantastic research and detail.
This is a superb post apocalyptic account of what could happen in the events of a real catastrophe. The author has clearly taken time to do his research.
The story is gripping, well paced and enjoyable throughout.
3 books in 1 is a bargain.
Highly recommended.
