About this listen
Ex-DCI Luke Sackville investigates nefarious activities at Wessex Police at the request of the Chief Constable. He and his Ethics Team put their own lives at risk as they seek to unveil the guilty.
Luke is horrified when he discovers that a long-established secret society is behind the corruption and is planning a series of attacks on the public. He finds himself in a race against time to identify and capture the secret society’s members before innocent people are murdered on an unprecedented scale.
The Corruption Code is the fourth nail-biting book in the Luke Sackville Crime Series.
If you like a team you can root for, you’ll love this pause resister. Perfect for fans of JD Kirk, LJ Ross, JM Dalgleish, David J Gatward and Alex Smith.

Great twisty crime novel!
The author has done it again! Another great book in the Luke Sackville series. I really do love coming across a series that I enjoy and when the next book comes out it is like going back to the familiar.
There were twists and turns along the way to keep you on your toes which I’d be disappointed if the author left out.
I listened to the audio for this one and it was so easy to listen to (although the content was tricky - racism - so do check the trigger warnings). The narrator was great and I could not put it down - so much so I had to finish it at work (shh!).

Fast paced thriller
This a fun read, with lots of humour and heart alongside a dark central plot.
It is full of action with subplots and storylines for each of the key characters. I look forward to the next in the series.

This series just gets better and better
This was such an entertaining read/listen. The narration brought the story completely to life. I was intrigued by the author afterword as it put the story into context and separated out fact from fiction. It was scary how believable it could all be. I am looking forward to continuing the journey with Luke and his colleagues. Oh and Josh is just brilliant.

Another enjoyable listen
This is turning into a really good series. Another fast paced book with lots going on . There were stories running alongside the main plot which all kept the interest going. The only reason it’s not a 5 star is that I’m beginning to find Josh a bit repetitive and irritating but that said I still enjoyed the book . Thank you to the author for a promotional copy of the book .

Amazing narration from Samuel James, who brings out the angst and action.
Luke and the newly formed Ethics team, are investigating an allegation of workplace sexual harassment at Filchers, when Maj one of the team spot a suicide bomber at his local Mosque. Stopping the bomber and getting hurt in the process. Luke now finds himself needing new member. With a man down, the team are stretched.
Lily with her acting skills from the previous story is recruited. The Chief Constable of Wessex Police, believes there is a bad apple in his Anti-Corruption Unit. Worse yet the person is in bed with the neo-Nazi bomber.
Excellent thriller.

A lot of research has clearly gone into this story, which keeps you guessing until the last couple of chapters.
The story is original and interesting although it stretches credibility at times., particularly regarding police procedures.

Not as good
I didn’t feel the same as other listeners. I thought the story bumbled along and found the narrator breathless or panicking. Near all the characters sounded like they were scared to death or about to burst into tears. Perhaps I just didn’t engage with the plot.
