Summary
How far would you go to protect your child?
I knew something was wrong. It’s a mother’s instinct.
I could tell when my son started hiding things from me. He used to walk to school with a mischievous grin on his beautiful face. Now he avoids eye contact and keeps his head down.
Since I discovered he’s being bullied by a classmate, I’ve spent every day worrying, my stomach churning with anxiety from the moment he leaves the house to the second he walks back through the door.
Everyone keeps telling me I’m overreacting, but I won’t risk my child’s safety. My husband and I try to talk to the other boy’s parents, but it only makes things worse....
Then our precious child is hurt. Enough is enough. It has to stop. Even if that means taking matters into our own hands.
Because we know the truth about the family targeting our son—it’s not the first time they’ve done this. So the question is, exactly how far will we go to get revenge?
A nail-biting psychological thriller from the number one best-selling author of The Doctor’s Wife. If you love Behind Closed Doors, Gone Girl, and The Housemaid, you’ll be hooked on The Couple’s Revenge.

Good story but female narrator was so annoying
I persited with the audiobook because I had paid for it and the male narrator did a good job, but honestly the female one was so ridiculously over the top she sounded deranged at times, I would not pay for another booked that used her I'm afraid.

Well worth grabbing!!
Apart from a bit of strange narration (better once sped up on the player) this book could have been a 4.5 star read.
I love Daniel Hurst's audiobooks. I didn't work out the twisty ending of this one, in fact I was way off track, making the story even better for me.

The unrealistic plot and the annoying female narrator
I felt the plot was a bit unbelievable. I struggled to get to the end of this book as the female narrator when annoying in the emphasis on works. She was way too dramatic and the female lead character was hard to like. She seemed pretty demanding and slightly unhinged, even before the difficulties the family faced began. On a plus side, I didn’t seem the plot twist coming!

narration by imogen church
I gave the performance two stars. these are for the male narration. he is very good and deserves more. female narrator gets zero stars. I can't finish the book as she ruins it.

Female narration irritating. Good story.
A good story, though improbable, but the female narration was terrible. She sounded drugged and the intonation was often wrong. It sounded like the recording had been slowed down. Make narration was good.
A good tale though often too wordy

Awful narration
wasn't too bad a story, although it didn't last as long as it should have, had to speed it up due to the odd and annoying narration!
pretty bland ending though, despite the twist.

ruined by awful narrator
loved the storyline and twist at end but found it hard to listen to as the female narrators voice was annoying and weird I don't understand the ridiculous voice she put on when reading Jacob and guys parts it was cringy and the way she kept slowing down her voice was clearly her way of trying to achieved atmosphere but it just sounded silly please can you use a didn't narrator next time

Not bad
I had worked out the answer about two thirds of the way in, but still a good story. The female narrator got on my nerves, her voice is a bit childish and put me off. I’ve listened to a few books which she has narrated and thought the same.
