Strong female lead

I have listened to four of these books so far and this was the only one where I felt let down. The King started out very pathetic even though he lost his mate. I feel sorry for him but I prefer leading men to be just that. A woman taking lots of cruel verbal abuse is not my cup of tea.

great book

great story ,good romance ,likeable characters and fab start to a series can't wait to start the next book
