Five strangers guard our secrets.
Only four can be trusted...
In the 21st century, information is king. But computers can be hacked and files can be broken into - so a unique government initiative has been born. Five ordinary people have been selected to become Minders - the latest weapon in thwarting cyberterrorism. Transformed by a revolutionary medical procedure, the country's most classified information has been taken offline and turned into genetic code implanted inside their heads.
Together, the five know every secret - the truth behind every government lie, conspiracy theory and cover up. In return, they're given the chance to leave their problems behind and a blank slate to start their lives anew.
But not everyone should be trusted, especially when they each have secrets of their own they'll do anything to protect...
From author of THE ONE and soon to be published THE FAMILY EXPERIMENT!

Another Marrs shivery tale
Back to form for Marrs with this next installment of his near future tales. Loved it. I don't know how he cones up with these ideas that are scary and presented so plausibly.
We'll written, rounded characters, shock and horror and dread throughout. Fabby.

Wow it's been a while since a book has captured my attention so intensely. Wonderful characters each one and such an intricately crafted story. A true talent keep them coming Mr Marrs.

An Interesting Read
I really like John Marrs writing and have already enjoyed a lot of his books.. this was no exception. Really great concept. Once I remembered who the different characters were.. I was Ok. Futuristic, slightly dystopian with a touch of hope.

another John Marks great
I really enjoyed this, a gripping and well thought out story . The only let down is the incorrect pronunciation of the the River Nene by the narrator, it should be "Neen"not "nen"

Not his best work
John Marrs has produced some brilliant work, such as The Samaritan, but I found this book to be a bit slow and the denouement a bit implausible. One narrator would have been better, especially with voice characterisations and the sound quality was patchy. Still a good book though.

Another fantastic book from Marrs
I am a massive fan of John Marrs and was so pleased to see another release from him.
The Minders did not disappoint in anyway. Lots of characters with believable back stories; twists and turns along the way; love and loss.
Just can’t wait now until the next book comes out.
John Marrs fans will not be disappointed.

Never fails to pleasure.
John Marrs is my favourite author. Every book I listen to makes me more enthralled. And this story didn't let me down. Although each of his books are stand alone, every read makes references to other things that has previously occurred to make the country what it is today and if you have read his other stories you will recognise the context. The narrator is exceptional helping the characters come to life and persuading you to continue listening hours after lights out.

Excellent
Do half I’m reading them in order as they make more sense to me although it’s not necessary. Some thought provoking stuff. A little confusing as many characters and it’s harder to process on audible but still, great narrators and story line!!!
