Summary
A Richard and Judy Book Club bestseller, The Wife Between Us is a shocking romantic thriller with twists you won't see coming. From Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekannen, the duo behind The Golden Couple.
'A fiendishly clever thriller in the vein of Gone Girl and The Girl on the Train. This one will keep you guessing' – Anita Shreve, bestselling author of The Stars are Fire
Marrying a man with a past was always going to come with problems – but you never expect to become the focus of another woman’s obsession.
Nellie just wanted to live the life she’d always dreamed about with Richard. But who is his ex-wife, Vanessa? Nellie thinks she knows everything about his previous marriage. That it was a disaster, plain and simple. But, as secrets are unearthed, she starts to think that maybe there is more to the wife before her . . .
Only one thing is certain. She is not who you think she is.

Fairly predictable
Very similar storyline to another book; ‘the last Mrs. Parish’, but not quite as good. I found it very predictable

a little confusing initially
it took a little while for me to grasp the trend between time and place and who......but once I got that..it all came together really well..... a good yarn

I couldn't stop listening!
I really enjoyed this book and listened to it at every opportunity! The story was gripping and unfolded at a good pace whilst always staying interesting. I don't feel like the epilogue to this book was really necessary though as it tied up nicely without it. I definitely recommend this book if you enjoyed "girl on the train" and "a simple favour"

Gripping read
was an easy read as the story was going and well read. I liked that that subtle aspects of the abuse was portrayed not just the violence. Lots of twists but had a neat packaged ending so you're not left wondering if you like that. Will definitely be reading more from the authors.

Captivating!
I loved this book. The narration was great. The story was unique and the twists were totally unexpected especially the huge one in the middle but loved the fact that even the final chapter had the listener questioning everything again.
This book kept me up until the early hours listening and I really respect the fact that it was written jointly and seamlessly by two writers. This was a read that made me think deeply and actually had great, well rounded characters.
Would highly recommend.

Addictive
I mostly listen to my audiobooks in bed at night and as a result fall asleep and wake up to find I have missed chunks of the story. Not with this one.The narration flowed beautifully and believably. The prose had a great balance of plot development and detail without being boring at any stage along the way..It succeeded as being entirely believable despite all the twists and surprises. For once I feel I have encountered a thriller that is well researched.believable and thought provoking with a satisfying conclusion.=So many books in this genre seem to be written for the sake of producing a book without tight editing and plot development.Full marks to all involved in this
