Summary
Always the Dungeon Master, never the player.
Juniper Smith was always a creator of worlds rather than the one who walked within them…until now.
Somehow, the tables have turned in the most dramatic way possible. Juniper finds himself in a world filled with the wildest fantasies a mind could come up with, and his fingerprints are all over it.
Throughout this world, echoes of his own ideas and plots leave him feeling like he’s always one step behind. He finds bits and pieces of ancient influence strewn about every town he goes through. One thing is clear, though: Juniper walks this magical new world in someone else’s shadow.
It might all add up to something vital...if only he can survive long enough to figure it out.

Great book
Original and captivating. This book gradually reveals layers of complexity and goes beyond its genre.

Great DnD homage
An engaging start to a series, man in a strange new world - that is weirdly not so strange. I really enjoyed this book. The MC was GM with a group of friends and often explains what is happening or relates scenarios to his gaming past, this feels like a human going through things and i think that adds to this LitRPG tale. The end of the book drops off a cliff but its all fine as we can all listen to the next instalment straight away.
Solid narration adds to the feel and emotions in the books.

Best LitRPG on Audible
A rationalist take on the LitRPG genre. If you want an interesting world with rational characters this is for you.
A real fresh take on the genre.

Love it
Stubled on to this by accident, on the release day..
Definitely worth a credit.
For someone unfamiliar with the dnd dynamics this was really clear and it painted a really clear picture of the story.

You may dislike it if:
- You find powerful male protagonists annoying even if well written
