This is the best book I have read / listened to in a long while. It was absolutely gripping. Very well read, good story line and twists along the way. Brilliant

This book was excellent. It kept me guessing and on the edge of my seat

Brilliant read

This book started off okay and I found myself going back and forth between characters saying "oh my god it's him." However the murderer turned out to be one of the characters that had crossed my mind. it felt that the murderer had been decided at the last minute and I didn't understand his reason for the killing initially. The main character because engrossed in finding out who had killed her friend and whether her husband was having an affair. In doing so she seemed to neglect other aspects of her life such as her children. I enjoyed it nonetheless but couldn't give it 5 stars.

Slightly implausible but good story

Held my interest most of time as a well constructed murder mystery. A bit messy towards the end as it reached its conclusion. The journey was better than the destination.

a good yarn

The story was quite good, some complex threads in part, however I guessed the killer way too early and in some parts the dialogue feels like the only purpose for it is to explain segments to the reader. I kept going to the end and didn't abandon so it's still worthy of a 4 star I think - maybe 3.5. Clare Corbett does another good job as narrator.

The narrator was great, her children's and men's voices were convincing. I enjoyed the story and found it easy to follow.

This was amazing! at every single turn I was right there with the characters, I felt their pain, their sadness, their anger, a few times I Eve yelled out loud when things made a rapid twist in the story...well worth purchasing I will be listening again!

SHOCKING!!

This book was relatively good and kept me listening to the end but the authors constant use of 'meets my gaze" & "follows my gaze" became irritating when listening!

Decent listen, a little predictable
