Overall worth a listen

I thought it was over long in the mid section but kept with it. The humour in the end chapters was worth the wait and the reveal of how Anthony met his end unexpected and in true Bella Mackie style . The entitled , obnoxious characters of Antony and Olivia were brought to life with the narration though Jade a bit overdone in my opinion.
Not quite as good a read as How to kill your family but ok.

Fun story. Terrible accent

Enjoyed the story. Fun to listen to, but the young “Sleuth” has a terrible fake Gloucestershire accent. I almost had to stop listening.

Lovely narration

Story was overly simplified and unrealistic. Sisters fight. That’s natural but made to seem extreme. And how six people can dump wives, work, partners, friends, family because they’re beckoned? Over Christmas? To be with someone they don’t appear to like? Lost me at the start but I guess good enough to persevere…

Good fun

A light hearted but nonetheless absorbing and acerbic comedy about how the rich live and die.

Great fun

Really enjoyable. All characters extremely dislikeable but in this book that’s the point. Another great book by Bella mackie

Great concept but fell a little flat

I really enjoyed “How to kill your family” and had high hopes for this book but it sadly, just missed the mark for me. The concept was so good and the three POVs were interesting to flip through, there were some funny and entertaining bits, but I felt it got a little boring. I started to forget who the characters were because of this, so the reveals fell a bit flat.

So refreshing!

A no-holds barred depiction of an extremely unlikeable cast of upper class characters told with enviable hilarity. What a writer!

A brilliant story

I think I like this novel more than Bella's debut How to Kill Your Family (although that remains one of my favourites). The narration was excellent and really brought the characters to life - highly recommended!

Grippy, Funny, Well written

Asolutely loved this book, just as much as Bella Mackie's previous one (which I didn't think was possible)
