ADORED this book soo bloody much 😭😭 Sebastian York absolutely makes this so much better as it's exactly how I pictured Luca, I was so excited to get to see his side and it did not disappoint 🥰

If ever there was a definition of an alpha a-hole it would be Luca Vitiello. He’s a capo in the making and everything to be feared and desired.
This book was sinfully sexy and full of danger and suspense and I couldn’t get enough.
I’ve marked down stars because I found the heroine’s character to be lacking for something I can’t really place. I’m not one for character bashing but she was standing up to the would be Capo, her arranged marriage husband since she was 15 and the next she was telling him she wasn’t ready to consummate their marriage.
Sebastian York as always delivers to perfection and it gets that this is Luca’s story but even a epilogue PoV from Aria would have earned a full 5 star rating.

I enjoyed listening to the story from the male perspective, especially as it was performed by the swoon worthy vocals of Sebastian York, who as usual is on top form. there are a couple of unanswered questions, like who the traitor is but I'm guessing as this is a series the story will continue. I'll definitely be continuing with the other books in the series.

Love how deep Luca's love towards Aria, the cave-man possessiveness yet the patience he held. SY's narration brings the character to life.

The narration was great, what there was of the story could have been good but was spoilt by the constant sex scenes and descriptions. These quickly became very repetitive and by half way through, they became damn annoying- so much so I fast forwarded most times as it was the same old lengthy scenes, sometimes going beyond 10 mins. Dont get me wrong, I like sex, but when it is constant descriptive scenes it becomes monotonous. I would say at least 60% of the story was a sexual and the actual storyline was very short indeed. I had already bought the follow on book, but if it starts in the same way I'll return it. A shame as could have been much better.
