WOW what a book, at first I thought high school angst, not my cup of tea. This book blew me out the water, so much going on and I not telling. Just to say Madi arriving at a new school. New home and a new stepmom, and something she didn’t expect a step brother Nate. Especially Nate’s group of friends.
This is a must read and this is definitely has adult situations. It’s very hard to not give anything away, but this is book one in what appears to so much more than what is first seen. If you want suspense with a dark theme. Where a group of boys are much more than they seemed. I stopping there and picking up book two The Broken Puppet (The Elite Kings Club Book 2) I’ve this book s stars because this book stays with you afterward. This is not a pretty romance, this is much more.

4.5 Stars I'm going to be honest. For about 80% of this book I had no idea where it was going, but I sure was along for the ride. There's a lot going on here and a tonne still to come, if I know anything about Ms. Jones and the way her stories go. But I was really engaged the whole time and really nervous to see what's up next. Bring it on.

Holy moly!! What an AMAZING book. I seriously don't think i can do this book justice because just WOW!! I'm blown away this is one mind gripping read.

There is so much i want to say but i know i'll never stop rambling on about each and every chapter. This book and not many do this had me desperate because i needed to know what was going to happen next. I was gripping my kindle with my heart in my mouth throughout this read.

There is so much that went on in this book that i'm left asking What! What!! WHAT!!
I know i haven't really said much about what happens with in this book. And when you read it and you MUST read, you'll understand just what i'm going through and why i'm left speechless.
I'm desperate for Book Two i don't know whats going to come next but you can bet your Arse i'll be ready and waiting to carry on with this Amazing, Gritty, Captivating Mind mess Of a Series.

This book will confuse the hell out of you but trust me you need to stick with the series because by the time you get to book 3 things will be much clearer. This book is full of twists and turns that will leave you wanting more. I was pulled in from start to finish and hooked. It has absolutely everything a dark romance is and more

Amazing audio

It started really well, I wasn't really engaged and rooting for Madison. The mystery was intriguing, and the gang/society behaviour was a bit unhinged, but it didn't make much sense at times (I do t care how crazy the plot is, or the characters ' behaviour....it has to somehow make sense to me). The spice was good too and so was the cliffhanger ending.
Still, even with all that o felt bored half way through , and won't care on the series.

DNF because the narrator is horrendous. The way she does the characters voice is bad but the way she narrates the guys makes them sound dull and simple

I have no idea what I just listened to...

The hype about this series is big, but the 1st book didn't give me anything to really look forward to and continue with the series...at the same time - I invested time and money into this one which is just a beginning of the story...might as well try to finish it but dang this was terrible.

The writing is not great at all. The narration was horrible! The female narrator did not do a good job with the male voices. The guys are supposed to be dark, mysterious, hot and alluring...but here they just sounded like Beavis and Butthead.

I guess the girls sounding like valley girls is not far off, since the h is one of the dumbest heroines, I've ever read.

Worst book series honestly don’t waste your money on this. So many plot holes details changed regularly. I wish I had of listened to this completely before I wasted money buying the other two books. The beginning was good but then it just became a total mess. Narration ok but the male voices not great.

No consistency a complete mess

I stopped listening after chapter 3, unable to get past the awful narration, with every last word dragged out and a monotone delivery in most parts. The characters are meant to be in high school, yet the main character sounds like a middle aged woman. I’ll read it on kindle instead.
