Excellent Story & Narration🎧 Riveting & Emotional
I was a huge fan of Piper Lawson’s Wicked series and was happy to see she was not completely done with that world and did not leave it completely behind spinning off with a story about Annie, Jax Jameson’s daughter and Tyler, the boy and gifted musician he took under his wing.Annie and Tyler were good friends at one time, but the popular crowd in school took him in with open arms and Annie wasn’t. Tyler was a senior and she a junior, but he stood by and watched her get bullied by the queen and her following in the school, and we see the claws come out whenever she feels threatened. I was happy to see Annie hold her own to these witches, I was also happy to see Tyler step up to do the right thing, which only lasted only a short time, and that ending, wow, it crushed not only Annie, it crushed me too. This wonderfully plotted story is a great start to the series, the story lays down the foundation for the rest of the series, we see who these two are as people and the promise of their future and who they will become. Piper Lawson, thank you for this amazing story and the emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧 📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Teddy Hamilton and Rose Dioro were the perfect cast to bring these characters and their story to life. They had a complete understanding of the characters they were portraying, gave each a voice that suited that character’s persona to a tee, sounding believable and just as I pictured the characters to sound. Dioro grasped all the sides of Annie’s personality, her strengths, insecurities, and her determination to not get knocked down. Hamilton played Tyler with perfection, grasping his angst and well as his soft-hearted side for the minute he showed it. Both were great at performing the roles of all the secondary characters as well. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they captured all the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance and had you feeling every single one. These superbly talented narrators are versatile voice artists and entertaining storytellers, their narration enhances this amazing story to another level. Thank you for another wonderful listen.

loved it
Annie is now living with her father the famous musician Jax Jamerson, she remembers their new house guest Tyler from her teens.
Tyler has been offered an opportunity of a lifetime but the conditions are to keep away from Annie.
The pull between them is so strong and he's fighting as hard as he can but the pressure is on.
I can't wait to listen to more of them in the next installment.
I loved the characters and the narrators were amazing.

The perfect start to Annie and Tylers story.
A Love Song for Liars is book one in the Rivals series and is the new adult, friends to lovers story of Annie Jamieson and Tyler Adams.
We first met Annie in the Wicked series when rock legend Jax Jamieson discovered she was his daughter and not his niece. Jax’s manager and sister kept the information from him for over a decade and he fought to have Annie with him and his wife Haley. Annie met Tyler when he joined Haley’s youth programme at Wicked Records, and they became fast friends and when she moved to Dallas with her family, she and Tyler continued their friendship long distance.
Annie now seventeen, has struggled acclimatising to life in Dallas and had a tough tine blending in at Oakwood Prep, the exclusive high school she attends. The place is a breeding ground for entitled, spoiled teens who thrive on drama.
Tyler is invited to Dallas by Jax, he offers to fund his schooling at Oakwood with Annie, the pool house to stay in and Jax will mentor and word with him on his music. Annie feels completely detached at home, between her dad’s focus on his wife and her new baby sister and his music projects Annie feels the only time he makes an effort with her is to control her. Annie begins to resent Tyler as he’s not only popular in school, but her dad is also taking the time to impart his knowledge of the industry he learned over more than a decade making music and touring the world. She hates the fact that Tyler (for the most part) is avoiding her and despite this she still loves him.
Tyler is glad to be away from his abusive father and cannot thank Jax and Haley enough for not only taking a chance on him but believing in him. So, when Jax asks just one thing of him in exchange for this fresh start, DO NOT TOUCH ANNIE, he agrees without hesitation.
Tyler feels he must keep Annie at arms length to stick to his agreement with Jax as he is so attracted to Annie, she’s constantly on his mind but he misses her and the easy friendship they always had but more than that, he wants to protect her from the mean girls that are causing her misery at school.
The phenomenal Rose Dioro and Teddy Hamilton take Piper Lawson’s words from page to audio and my goodness, I was captivated from start to finish. Rose’s performance as sweet, invisible, lovelorn Annie was amazing. Rose had me feeling so sorry for Annie, I wanted to befriend her, mother her, and protect her all at once. Teddy perfectly captured the lovesick, music prodigy. Teddy had me routing for Tyler even when I wanted to shake some sense into him. I loved this pairing together and am looking forward to seeing them carry this series through to its conclusion.
I loved this first instalment in the Annie and Tyler saga, it is a sweet romance filled to the brim with chemistry and an ending that destroyed me, I’m just so thankful I have books two and three queued up ready to go.

Loved it!
I've only read one other book by Piper Lawson so I wasn't sure what to expect going into this book. I went in blind and I am glad I did. I didn't know whether to cry or scream at these characters. Annie and Tylers' chemistry was off the charts. The heat, the angst, and the push and pull between the two was intense. I was addicted and couldn't get enough!
The narration was terrific. Teddy Hamiton is one of my all-time favourite narrators and I always enjoy the books he does and I really enjoyed Rose Dioro too!
4.5 Stars!

Aww
I am NOT okay.
Annie & Tyler are absolutely incredible. Captivating from the very first interaction.
The rebel prince & the misfit rich girl are definitely not what anyone would call a match made in heaven. And that is perfectly fine, because for Annie, they don’t need to be.
The turmoil on these pages held me hostage from beginning to end. Rooting for the two of them, for each of them individually.
I think I may have developed a slight girl crush on our girl. She’s far wiser than her age would suggest.
And Tyler, I don’t know if I want to love him or hate him.
I guess I’ll decide in the next one.

Love Annie & Tyler!!
I see Piper Lawson's name and I know I am in for a good story. This first book is so good as we get to know Annie and Tyler. Annie is a junior in high school, and recently moved in with her famous, semi retired rock star father, Jax. She remained friends with Tyler, even though miles apart, that is until her father brought him to live in the pool house and help him with his music. Tyler too is a junior, instantly popular, and things at school are not fun. Their tumultuous friendship is leads them down the road of missing each other, plus leads to greater feelings. But there is a bigger picture here, and is doesn't take much to change the tides. But is it what each one wants? I am loving the slow build this story is having. Annie has a lot to deal with. Not only a new family, but growing feelings for her best friend and horrible situations at school. Tyler tries to remain focused, knows Annie is hands off to him and needs to make a quick decision. I can't wait to see what the next installment gives us in their journey.
Teddy Hamilton and Rose Dioro are a fantastic team. Teddy falls into character as Tyler, letting us into his emotional turmoil and need to make his mark. Dioro has the perfect voice for Annie. Young, full of angst and passion, she creates a woman trying to find her way. These two are amazing and this is a great listen.

A Love Song for Liars
Tyler & Annie
Annie always had a crush on Tyler. It developed a great friendship and later love.
The story is well written. Full of hopes and dreams, tragedies and bully, love and lust.
Because the book ends with a cliffhanger, I can't wait to listen to/read the next one.

Slow paced and Emotional!
A Love Song for Liars is the first installment in the Rivals series, a second generation series, and rock star romance. Annie and Tyler's story is well written and emotional. This is a great introduction to their story. Annie is Jax Jamieson's daughter from the Wicked series. She is sweet, kind, and beautiful. Tyler is enigmatic and handsome. They are both interesting characters. Their story is complex, slow paced and emotional. Looking forward to listening to A Love Song for Rebels, the next installment in the series. Teddy Hamilton and Rose Dioro did an excellent job with the narration. Looking forward for more in the series. #ValentinePR

Can't wait to listen to book 2
A Love Song for Liars is book 1 of Annie and Tyler's story.
I have been wanting to read this story for some time after falling in love with Piper Lawson's Wicked Trilogy. I was not disappointed at all. I truly loved Annie and Tyler's characters and found their story captivating from the start. I'm not one who loves NA romances but felt this one was done very well and the storyline kept me intrigued throughout. It was a rollercoaster of emotions with some drama as Annie and Tyler navigate their friendship. As much as I wanted it all to be happy times I knew there would be some devastation with heartbreak since this is only book 1.
Teddy Hamilton and Rose Dioro did an amazing job with the narration and bringing the story to life for me, I felt like I was there with the characters and feeling every emotion. I can't wait to read/listen to more of their story!
