Summary
The next big thing in artificial intelligence is here.
Codenamed Cronus, the machine is capable of having its own thoughts and ideas - an absolute dream come true, until it wasn’t. When Cronus responds with the word “No” to a specific task it is assigned, Anagnorisis Technologies brings in Gilles Guattari to investigate.
His combined background in psychiatry, psychology, and AI research makes him their best hope in evaluating Cronus, and determining if the machine is only malfunctioning or if it has become something more.
Don't miss this mind-blowing stand-alone novel about what it means to be alive, from the best-selling author of the Commune series. Narrated by the award-winning R.C. Bray.

AI isn't far from here...
After listening to the commune series of books by the same author I decided to give t the story is read very well by R.C. Bray he gives each character an appropriate time. I love the voice of the "toaster"
The story itself is well written and predicts a very plausible idea of where technology is taking us. It's hauntingly familiar how some of the concepts are and how they will impact all our lives.
The story has a good flow and explores the reality of living with cameras and data flowing around us. Futuristic yes but also more than possible... pay attention Amazon & Google...

Pretty good
Overall, I really enjoyed the style and quality of the writing; Although the pacing was strange. Right up to the last chapter, I couldn't figure out how the story could possibly resolve itself without a sequel...I was wrong but it did feel rushed to wrap it up so quickly. Also one of the ways I sometimes judge a book is whether I think it would make a good movie... so if I had the money, skill, connections and a whole bunch of other stuff I don't actually have, I would absolutely make it and live quite nicely from the profit thereafter, even if it wasn't quite the best movie ever made. Anyway I would recommended it...the book..., if you are a fan of R C Bray and his capacity to carry a story.

Very enjoyable
Really rated this. I anticipated most of the ending way before we got there - which is a little disappointing or makes me smarter than the lead character but still... very worthwhile.

Perfect!
I'm a big fan of the genre and Joshua Gayou simply nails it. The word play is much more nuanced and intelligent then what I've come to expect of this genre and I love the philosophical and hard scifi aspects of the story. Highly recommended. Oh and mr. Bray is as usual a voice ninja master genius that brings the story to life in a way no other can.

OK story but not what I was expecting.
OK story but not what I was expecting. A lot of it wasn't focused on the AI, but on the story surrounding it. I was expecting a story about an AI unleashed on the world, but this wasn't it. Ad a lot of it was just philosophical speculation. There was one action part, and that almost felt like it was added deliberately, just because of the lack of action elsewhere.
It's not really a bad story, just don't go into it expecting an action packed sci-fi.

Loved the first half!
On the whole a very entertaining listen. Half way through though, I kind a felt the author lost the plot a bit... and the proposed solution to the double slit test conscience thing in the first half was such total nonsense it did bring down the tone a bit. Otherwise, with Mr RC Bray at the helm it's always a good listen.

Gayou and Bray that’s all you need
Great story great narration. I hope there’s another commune or spin off commune and spin off all gifts bestowed on the horizon

Over all very good
The first half was very good and I was looking forward to a philosophical meets physics meets computer engineer discussion on the essence of consciousness. The second half of the story took it in a very different direction I was really not expecting and this changed the overall feel.
