About this listen
With duet narration by Jason Clarke and Stella Hunter. A sexy, single-dad romance stand-alone.
Don’t sleep with the nanny.
That should be a simple rule to follow, but some things are easier said than done.
Especially when the nanny I hire to take care of my wild child daughter turns out to be the one I can’t forget. The woman I shared a red-hot anonymous kiss with a few weeks ago when we were trapped in an elevator? Yeah, seems she’s one and the same - sweet, sexy, irresistible Daisy.
When she shows up in town, fresh-faced and ready to care for my kid, it hits me like a kick from a stubborn mare. I’m in way over my head.
I’ve been fantasizing about seeing my elevator woman again. And now I’m seeing her every damn day at the breakfast table, or at the playground with my adorable daughter. Daisy is exactly what my little girl needs. But every day I spend with Daisy makes me want her more, only I can't have her. I won’t risk breaking the unbreakable rule to take a chance at love.
Until the night I do.

Adorable, fun, heartwarming!
Oh, this was just so frkn cute and smexy. Adorable and fun. Cowboy meets single dad meets nanny romance. What’s not to love? From their scorching yet anonymous first kiss in an elevator to them meeting again as boss and employee, denying the sparks between them for his daughter’s sake, to them finally giving in. Ugh, delicious. And Carly, the daughter…? Oh, she was so insanely cute and sassy, making me smile and giggle and swoon on more than one occasion. So, yeah, this one is full of heartwarming, touching moments, witty banter, some serious heat, all in a setting of a wonderful extended family of swoon-worthy cowboys and their family.
And the audio? Duet style by Jason Clarke and Stella Hunter. Ooof. Talk about perfection. I think it’s actually my first duet style story by Mr. Clarke, one of my favorite male narrators. And the growly “darlins” and that slight twang to his speech … just ugh. Perfection. But same goes for Stella Hunter. Her heartfelt portrayal of the characters always gets to me. Especially her voice for little Carly had me melting like crazy. As I said, aural perfection.

Could not put this down.
Kim Loraine is a new author to me but already downloaded a new book. The duet narration was excellent Stella Hunter is amazing and of course Jason Clarke is drool worthy he can also pass a British accent. would give this more stars if I could. I was unprepared for Jason Clarke and the Darlin's talk about weak knees. Love the duet narration.

You need this book Darling!
An Irresistible Chance by Kim Loraine
Book 1 in The Irresistible Langstons Series
Narrated by Jason Clarke and Stella Hunter
Wow I love Kim’s cowboys. Swoon-worthy all! And hearing “Darling” makes me go right to any of her books ❣️ Her books are so realistic and true to life and always take me away to visualizing the scenery and characters like I can visit it and them right then. In this newest book series of the Langstons we get the story of single dad Hawk, who cares for his daughter Carly. He’s a sexy, gravely cowboy who needs help with his precocious daughter who’s acting up in order to get his attention. Both are trying to keep it together since his ex-wife walked out on them. Thankfully Lark and Travis have an amazing friend Daisy who is looking for a new place and a job. This was a moving story of a single dad who tries to stay away from his feelings for his new nanny that has captured his heart and his daughter’s as well.
I have come to adore Stella’s performances especially when there are children characters. Carly really is a sweet girl and had me smiling. Daisy is wonderful with her, and the heat between her and Hawk was what dreams are made of. Jason’s performance of Hawk was awesome, full of concern for his ‘girls’, emotional for trying to do the right thing even when he wants so much more. Jason makes a swoony sexy drawling cowboy in this audiobook. This book was another that just captured my heart, and that “Darling “ are what dreams are made of. These families that Kim creates are ones that I want to live with and I love them while I’m immersed in them.

I love a hot single daddy riding a horse
I hadn’t read a cowboy romance in a while, and this one has become one of my favorite. What can I say, I love a hot single daddy riding a horse.
Not a lot of originality here, just your regular romance between a single father and his nanny. Meaning a lot of denial, some unresolved sexual tension, and a little kid who’s the most important thing for them. That doesn’t mean it isn’t enjoyable. It was. A lot.
First, the meeting between Daisy and Hawk prior to their working relationship was hot. Their instant attraction was delicious. You know right away that it’ll cause troubles. Hence denial. They cannot act on it, for different reasons–Hawk wants to protect his daughter, Daisy has a desastrous past experience of workplace relationship and doesn’t want a repeat. Their reluctance seemed logical.
Though I hadn’t read any other book by the author, I wasn’t disturbed by all the cameos from characters from other series and books. There were just enough details to get who they were, without stealing the spotlight. It still felt like fan service at times. But I guess the characters needed a family that big to have it meddling with their lives.
With that much of a denial, the story was kind of a slow burn. But as soon as they decide to act on their feelings? Oh my, that was hot.
As for the narration, with two such great narrators, it was delightful. Hawk’s sexy and Daisy’s feisty were right there, and the duet narration was perfect. A very nice cowboy romance indeed.
