common sense approach to ADHD

i have long tried to find some easily understood information. although this is written predominately with middle age female in mind so much is appeopriate for male as well. my grandson of 37 has recently been re diagnosed ADHD (adult) having been diagnosed at the age of 5 as a child. i refused him Ritalin due to being a nurse and with it being a new drug was unsure of long term side effects. i battled all the 'naughty' child issues and under achievment. (i bought him up) he has now as an adult received his diagnosis and the relevent medication . he feels as if the foggy weather of his life has finally cleared. maybe this book should be a compulsory read in teacher training. and perhaps included in secondary school carriculum. . re the genetic issue. i said to a friend once 'i wish i knew where he got his energy' her response .."have you looked in the mirror lately!!'

This book is just brilliant

This is the first book I have listened to about ADHD after getting diagnosed 2 years ago at the age of 40.
This book has helped me so much, I don’t know anyone with ADHD and it’s the first time I have felt so close to what someone is saying and feeling!
I nodded and smiled and said ‘me too’ a lot through this book.
So worth a listen to

Really helpful personal account.

Some great pointers for someone starting out on their journey of understanding of adult ADHD.
