About this listen
If you have ADHD, your brain doesn't work in the same way as a "normal" or neurotypical brain does because it's wired differently. You and others may see this difference in circuitry as somehow wrong or incomplete. It isn't. It does present you with significant challenges like time management, organization skills, forgetfulness, trouble completing tasks, mood swings, and relationship problems.
In Your Brain's Not Broken, Dr. Tamara Rosier explains how ADHD affects every aspect of your life. You'll finally understand why you think, feel, and act the way you do. Dr. Rosier applies her years of coaching others to offer you the critical practical tools that can dramatically improve your life and relationships.
Anyone with ADHD - as well as anyone who lives with or loves someone with ADHD - will find here a compassionate, encouraging guide to living well and with hope.

Fantastic book!
This book was a fantastic book that has helped me gain a deeper understanding of my brain. I live in the UK where I am currently on a waiting list for a diagnosis, and to receive a form of treatment; the waiting list is 7 or so months.
This book has provided me with some nifty advice and help in the meantime and for continued management.

Fantastic book that has provided answers and more
The clarity, structure, exercises, tone of and ideas in this book have come in so handy for someone who has been struggling for years and learning different skills without being always able to tell why I have struggled. The answer to the why has brought great relief and there are new techniques that can compliment my practice and already developed skills.

Really eye opening and helpful after my diagnosis
This audiobook has taught me so very much about adhd that I haven’t really seen or heard elsewhere. Really happy I listened. It’s given me a lot of peace and confidence going forward. Just knowing things are adhd makes me feel better and helps me embrace some of my symptoms. Awareness I’m finding is a huge deal for me.
Some suggested ways to manage my adhd feel to me to be quite time intensive (they probably aren’t) so I can’t see myself doing them. On the other hand I would like to use some if the others. Can’t remember them now so I will re-listen lol. I should make some notes on them and then I will remember. That’s one of my own strategies.
I do find it harder to listen and had to rewind a lot but that’s ok. I finished in the end and will definitely re-listen to help myself and my kids.

Useful self coaching strategies
This book was excellent in explaining and supporting mitigation of ADHD symptoms.
I bought the paperback so that I could have a reference to go back to when I wanted to carry out some of the exercises.
The only downside was the narrator. I found her voice completely irritating and almost AI-like. It was very hard at some points to focus on what she was saying rather than the tricky unnatural voice. Considering the nature of the people who would be using this book, it’s a shame that they should use somebody with a voice such as hers but of course that could be just my personal issue!
Recommend the book otherwise

Brilliantly done.
Explains my adhd to me plainly. At 57 years of age and being diagnosed now left me feeling ‘broken’ but I now feel more self possessed and listening to this and other books on the subject has helped me move proactively and positively forward.
