About this listen

His first, last and only true love has always been rugby. Until now. She's damaged. He's determined. Fate brought them together. Love binds them.

Johnny Kavanagh has everything going for him. On the rugby pitch, he's a force to be reckoned with. Primed for stardom, he's heading straight for the top. Nothing can possibly get in his way, right? Not even the shy new girl at Tommen College. The one with the sad eyes and hidden bruises. The one that distracts him like no one ever has.

Plagued with a hidden injury and desperate to impress the scouts watching his every move, Johnny has been placed on a pedestal so high, he has no room to make mistakes. Johnny needs to keep his head in the game. He needs to stay focused and cannot afford to let distractions get in the way of the big picture. But what happens when a lonely girl with sad eyes becomes the only picture?

Two teenagers from opposite sides of the tracks collide in the first audio instalment of Binding 13. Based in Ireland, the Boys of Tommen series is bound to captivate and lure you into the world of rugby, love and teenage heartbreak.

This narration of one of my top 3 books last year, is brilliant! The 2 narrators bring this story to life and add a whole new dimension to the book. Can't wait for part 2 and then hopefully Keeping 13 in audio.

I loved the character build. The whole story is very slow burn and lots of details but this is what makes it particularly good. It unfolds like life unfolds, slowly but surely. Absolutely amazing and I will read the whole series because I’ve grown to care about each character so much. I will have to make breaks tho as it’s so much sometimes.

Sprawling romance story worth the time

This book has been on my tbr for the best part of a year! my husband bought it for me for Valentine’s Day then completed the series for me. i couldn’t wait to read them but the size of the book scared me. Well once I started reading I couldn’t put it down and it wasn’t long enough!! I couldn’t put have read double the size apart from my aching hands from holding it up haha 🙈😂 My only negative was that I didn’t have a lot of reading time so it took me longer to finish it, but glad I got to savour it.

Wow… Wow… Wow… What a beautiful story!! I teared ip, laughed out loud and I have honestly never been so invested in a novel before!! It broke my heart was hard to read at times but so so good!

Binding 13 by Chloe Walsh is a sports romance novel based in Cork - Ireland in 2005 where Shannon, a new student at a prestigious school, finds herself drawn to the notorious Johnny Kavanagh on her first day. As she forms a fragile alliance with the rising rugby star, she faces bullying and the challenges of her feelings for him. The story explores themes of love, abuse, and teenage struggles with substance abuse and domestic violence so check your triggers.

Each character feels so raw and real, and their stories are packed with emotion and depth. It was emotional, intense and anreal page turner and I was obsessed from the first page until the last. It was a really powerful read and left me needing to read book 2 immediately because it leaves you on a cliffhanger. ! I had goosebumps so many times and my heart melted in a puddle too many times to count!!

If I have credits I like to read and listen at the same time to keep me focused and i absolutely loved the narrators for this, they did so well and made the listening experience just perfect!!

Great powerful story set in Ireland, absolutely loved everything about this book and audio narrators were both fantastic too xx
