About this listen
Cam DeSantis's life is a mess. How else would you describe losing your husband, your job, and your money all at once? Desperate times call for desperate measures.
So when salvation comes in the form of one intolerable jerk, who just happens to be the starting quarterback for the vaunted New York Titans, she has no choice but to accept his offer as a live-in nanny slash teacher for his eight year old nephew.
Now all she has to do is find a way to ignore him for the next three months. Which is easier said than done.

Calvin Shaw has zero interest in women.
Wait, wait—let me rephrase that. He loves women, he just doesn't want anything to do with 'um. What he needs to do is focus on winning another Super Bowl before he retires.
Problem is, the woman living in his house is a major distraction. And he doesn't know what's worse: that he promised to be civil, or that he's attracted to her.

UTTERLY LOVED IT!! 😍 (pun intended 🐄🐮)
This bok was so sweet. The way the main characters relationship developed and grew over time and how they loved each other was a true joy reading. I also love how the MMC wasn’t the standard player, dipping his wick anywhere he could before falling for the FMC, but a guy wanting to put emotional commitment into a relationship before taking things further. Not saying I don’t like the “badboy goes bananas, falls head over heals and hangs up his spurs” - story as much as the next one, but it was a really nice change of pace reading about a man with an healthy outlook on sexual commitment. 😊
The writing itself is really good too and flows nicely and the narration is spot on. I wish Calvin’s lines had been read by Nelson throughout. He’s a great narrator spot on for the MMC and felt he was a bit under used. That’s the only thing I felt was a miss in this story though. Amelie was the perfect pick for the MFC and did an awesome job portraying the different characters in the story.
Utterly adored this one… 😉😄

Funny and heartwarming
I loved Camilla. Her integrity and strength were refreshing. The humour in this story had me laughing out loud! Really enjoyed the relationship between Camilla and her BFF as well.

Different - spoiler alert (sorry)
I liked the different and more complex interpretation of the “falling for the nanny” topic.
Although normally you can’t see a baby belly being 8 weeks pregnant (especially being pregnant for the first time). In that context I’d wish more consistency and realism in this story.
Great narrators

Average book
this book started off very interesting but got very weird towards the middle. I think it ended well, but the writer definitely lost the plot at some points, making it a bit blahhh..
