Go back to the original narrator
I enjoyed the stories, but they have been let down by the narration. The narrator seemed almost monotoned in his telling, not really giving a different voice to the characters. The only character that stood out to me was Big Ben who the narrater made sound like Lord Flash heart from Blackadder and i expected him to keep shooting out "Woof Woof" at the end of each sentence.
Please retry with Peter Fullagar narrating again.

great
what a funny collection of books, I really did enjoy them however it would have been even better if the narrator had a bit more range to his voice for individual characters xxxxxxx

should not have changed the narrator
Really enjoyed the first 2 books of Tempest Michaels. The storyline is good with good humour included. Tempest and his friends are very likeable, flaws and all! However I don't understand why there is no narration for book 3, more importantly I don't understand why the new narrator is an old man, or certainly sounds like one (I'm not being ageist however as it sounds like an old man it does not fit in with the characters) I am going to see how long I can listen for, but Peter Fullager was far better suited to this role than the new one.

Good stories, terrible narration
I really like steve higgs books, but have to admit that the narration completely ruined it. His voice is boring, monotonous and brings nothing to the stories. Such a shame. Hope they do again with another narrator

Disappointed
poor narrator prevented liking the character, some of the characterisations did not come through, Jane/James was a 2D characature which implied a little mockery and the "Mr Wriggly"bits were creepy rather than funny. Though this may be because of the lack of emotion in the narration. Shame as I suspect the story is better than it comes across in this audio book

strange staccato narration
admittedly I have only listened to 30 minutes so far. the story is as entertaining as the first 2 books. However the narrator has a strange clipped way of speaking with endless pauses in odd places, which I am struggling to come to terms with.

Hooked me in from the start
I enjoyed these stories, they hooked me in from page 1 easy to listen to but well constructed in my opinion. They also had a lovely sprinkling of humour and narrator was anazing

Fantastic Boxset!
I've skipped around these books in print form reading them as I was able to get them. This boxset is excellent b/c it takes them in order and includes the very first one as well which explains how the series began. If you love mystery, dachshunds and intrigue, along with a dollop of laugh out loud silliness, you will love this series! Macho men, crazy criminals, women to sort things out and paranormal investigations...what more could you ask for?
Great narration by Charles Robert Fox!

The narrator is dull and boring.
Firstly, the narration. The chap frequently mispronounces many words. And frequently seems to mis read military times. for example saying 20:00 as '200 hours'. Puts in pauses where there shouldn't be pauses. Also you can hear him clicking a mouse in the background. Listening to him resembles listening to a church sermon.
Now the stories themselves are excellent. However, I live in the area of the pirate one, and I got annoyed that it was obvious that no local research has been done. For example, he describes driving from cawsand to plymouth using the coast road and seeing plymouth from the coast road, and crossing the brunel bridge.
There is no coast road from Cawsand to plymouth. And the Brunel bridge is a rail bridge.
If you were going from cawsand to plymouth you would use the ferry anyway.
It maybe a nitpick, but as a local it annoyed me.
Otherwise, the books are excellent.
