Would definitely love to see a movie made exactly on this only with no changes from this version. The thing and the thing from another are both great movies but divert from this plot.

The Greatest SciFi Horror

I found it, a bit like the 1951 movie, where there was a lot of dialogue but no description. I found the narration a bit excitable but not exciting and one character blended into the other. I guess John Carpenters The Thing was so good that reading the source material was a bit of a let down. I found the introduction of the extended 'Who Goes there?' interesting though
