I've read a lot of Greek myths and this is one of the best yet. The author gives a modern retelling of a classic story and then reflects on what the story is telling us.

To be honest, I started it because I expected it to be predictable and dry and I love the narrators voice and use it to drift off into sleep. Surprise! This writer took me into these well known stories and gave it a twist that made them relevant and moving to me. Of course excellent narration. So it totally failed in boring me to sleep. ;)

Great storytelling!

I've always been interested in Ancient Greek history. Even fictional events like the 300 Spartans ect.

Everything was spot on👍

Really zones in on feelings and motives of characters. Well imagined, and good synopses at the end. Trigger warning for assault and rape, which these myths are full of; but here as well, much detail is gone into. I forwarded through some of this.

Well fleshed out characters, good storytelling.
