Summary
Three unlikely heroes must navigate a minefield of conspiracy and strife to stave off interspecies war in the first book of a thrilling space-opera series.
The Novara: Our last hope. Built to deliver two million souls from a solar system in disarray, the colossal ark ship set off into the endless night with the hopes and dreams of the human remnant. They would find a new home. A new Earth.
The Novara’s descendants—those promised a green Eden—live a ship-bound life. But it is not the isolated existence their ancestors had envisioned. One hundred and twenty-nine years ago, there was a collision, a devastating encounter that answered one of humanity’s oldest questions . . . We are not alone.
The arrival of a parasitic warship of unknown origins brought the Novara's expedition to a cataclysmic halt. Now, after more than a century of tenuous peace between the human remnant and the alien occupants of the Devourer—a peace threatened by a crippling inability to communicate and a rise in attitudes of human supremacy—it is up to a new generation to steer the course while stranded among the stars.
As malevolent forces stoke the fires of division and bring the Novara to the precipice of war, the fate of millions is in the hands of a mere three. But can the wealthy son of an esteemed councilman, a fearless smuggling captain, and a grizzled marshal survive the maelstrom long enough to make a difference?
Filled with twists and turns, newly forged friendships and broken alliances, Insurgency Harmony is a tour-de-force start to a brilliant, character-driven, deep-space sci-fi series, perfect for fans of Firefly, Mass Effect, and The Expanse.

I’m not usually a massive sci-fi fan but this book has completely changed that! I absolutely could not stop listening! The writing is fantastic and I got immediately swept up into the story. I can’t wait for the next book and would thoroughly recommend this book to everyone!

Epic Sci-Fi
Downloaded on a whim because of the awesome cover and didn’t know what to expect. Was hooked by the end of the prologue (even if it was a little long). Thought the characters were all really engaging and likeable, especially Delilah! Loved how they were all voiced as well, the performance in general was really good.
The story is really intriguing and has lots of action and tense moments. It was always hard not to listen just one more chapter.
Looking forward to seeing where this story goes next. Bring on the sequel!

Incredible debut novel, I can't wait for more!
This is an incredible debut novel from new science fiction writer, T.M. Clayton. The Collision: Insurgency Harmony begins on the 'Novara', a colossal spaceship built to transport the last of the human race from a desolate Earth to 'new pasture', a place of hope and survival. The humans that were promised their 'green eden' however, were not destined to finish the expedition to their new home, after a collision with an alien species derails their journey, leaving both humans and aliens alike, adrift in the never ending darkness of space. This is simply the historical background for the setting of The Collision. What enfolds after is an explosive story of hard-hitting political and social commentary, a gritty and harrowing plot, and beautiful character arcs that leave you desperate for more.
With beautifully descriptive imagery throughout, and fascinating characters full of depth and intrigue, I honestly could not put this book down. There are so many twists and turns throughout, not once could I make a prediction on where we would end up. The relationship between certain characters is beautifully depicted, with witty banter and emotions running high, I truly felt for the characters and was genuinely absorbed in their story.
This is a novel for fans of classic sci-fi with notes of modern social and political issues, and beautifully prose with certain themes reminding me of movies / TV shows such as District 9 and Firefly. I honestly can not wait for the next book in the series, and am desperate to find out what happens to the characters that I have so utterly fallen in love with.
