Summary
'Laugh out loud funny and deeply validating - every person who thinks ADHD isn't real should read this book' Leanne Maskell, author of ADHD: An A to Z
Nobody should spend their life feeling defective. Everyone deserves to have a user manual to their brain - welcome to yours.
Once associated more with hyper boys than adults, ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) is now recognised as a condition in need of a rebrand which affects people of all genders and ages in a multitude of ways.
In this enlightening and definitive layman's guide, Kat Brown cheerfully smashes the stereotypes with scientific evidence, historical context, and practical support for ADHD minds across areas that can cause problems, from finances and work to self-medicating, relationships, hormones and self-esteem.
Based on Kat's personal experience and extensive interviews with ADHDers and world-leading clinical experts, It's Not A Bloody Trend is for anyone wondering if what's always been 'wrong' with them might just be undiagnosed ADHD.

Must read for anyone with ADHD (or anyone who knows them!)
This is the book that I wish existed when I was diagnosed almost three years ago- I'm not sure I've ever felt such a sense of belonging!
Kat does a fantastic job of weaving anecdotes, her own and those of others, with expert opinions and practical explanations/tips. An entertaining, comforting and helpful read all in one!
Half way through and couldn't recommend more!

Wonderful book.
Quite an emotional listen when there are so many ‘that’s how I feel / what I do’ moments.

Life Changing
Marvellous book that has helped me understand myself so much. Read with authenticity, written with raw honesty. Not just for the neurodiverse, this book sets out what it’s like to have ADHD and how professionals in the field see it. Helpful for neurotypical and neurodiverse alike.

A factual, honest and well presented book.
Kept me interested throughout (even going through ADHD and the menopause).
This will ring true to many, if not all ADHDers, It will hopefully provide an in-site for neurotypical’s that may be struggling to understand or even comprehend what neurodiverse people have been thinking is normal their entire life, and why it’s hard for us to get our heads around the fact that we have ADHD. Especially when we realise that we have ADHD and that it explains everything that we’ve been battling with our entire lives. Why we’ve been finding things so hard and exhausting to do and why we’ve been trying to fit into a box that is in no way designed for us, and why we have not completed so many things that we wanted to complete.

Felt like I was listening to my life story
A definite light bulb moment for me. Most poignant was the rejection bit which fully explained my numerous relationships and jobs all self sabotaged
Great book, thank you
