About this listen
A small-town, single dad, enemies-to-lovers standalone sports romance in the new series, The Single Dad Playbook, from USA Today Bestselling author Willow Aster
He's a quarterback, a single dad, and now he's my roommate…
For a long time now, I’ve despised Weston Shaw. He’d been someone I’d admired, taking my favorite football team, the Colorado Mustangs, to the Super Bowl. But that all turned upside down after one night that had nothing to do with me. We share one undeniable connection: his son, Caleb.
Unfortunately, the circumstances behind that have never been my story to tell. But now, the truth is out, and I’m left to deal with the consequences. I’m living under the same roof as Weston, and each day, I discover a side of him I never expected. He’s not the selfish jock I imagined. He’s caring, thoughtful, and unexpectedly charming. I find myself drawn to him in ways I never thought possible. It’s terrifying and exhilarating, but I can't deny it any longer…I’m falling for the one person I shouldn’t…Weston Shaw.
Mad Love is book one in The Single Dad Playbook series. Each book can be listened to as a standalone.

Weston is a handsome and amazing quarterback and is living his dream life in Colorado. One day he is going about his day like he normally does when he gets a phone call saying his 2-month-old son is in the hospital, the thing is… He had no idea he was even a father or that someone had birth his son… So, it should go without saying that his life has just been turned upside down. He rushes to the hospital and comes fast to fast with Sadie. She is the sister of one of the girls Weston has had a one-night stand with.
The mother of Caleb (his son) recently passed away and she apparently hadn’t explained to Sadie, her sister that she hadn’t told Weston she was pregnant and Sadie had it in her head that he was a deadbeat dad who wanted nothing to do with them which is so far from away from the kind of person he is.
It doesn’t take her long to realise that Weston wasn’t a deadbeat dad and that her sister had painted a fake portrait of the man and he had no idea that he had a son. They try and put a plan in place to raise Caleb together. Sadie even moves into Weston’s place and they become roommates. Which becomes entertaining! Even though it starts rocky, it doesn’t take long for these two to bond. Weston helps her cope with the loss of her sister and the more time they spend together, the stronger their feelings become.
I loved this book so much! I loved the fact that Weston stepped up immediately after finding out that he was Caleb’s father. I love a single dad romance and I loved this little twist the author put on this one. I was swooning like crazy at the way Sadie and Weston were together and how their attraction and love between the two of them is undeniable. It was amazing, pure and beautiful to read.
I couldn’t help but have a giggle at the whole “The Single Dad Playbook” that Weston’s friends and teammates came up with and wrote. It made for a good laugh and I have always loved a good bond between male friends.
Overall, this book was amazing. It was well-written and had me hooked from page one. It wasn’t fast-paced but it wasn’t slow either. It was the perfect pace.
Highly recommend!

Great start to the series!!!
Audiobook review: Narrated by Connor Crais and Ava Erickson
4 stars for story / 5 stars for performance
* Single Dad
* Surprise Baby
* Sports / Football
* Forced Proximity
If you love a single dad romance, this is a great beginning to a whole series of them! This book starts off with a bang when Weston gets a call from the hospital that his son has been brought in after a car accident. He is admittedly surprised by this development seeing as he has no children. What a great way to start a story. He and Sadie meet there and watching their relationship development was so sweet. This is such a feel-good book, and I truly enjoyed these characters along with the friends in the Single Dad Players Club. I can't wait to see who's up next, but I really hope we get to learn more of Sam's story.
The audiobook narration was outstanding. Ava Erickson did a wonderful job bringing Sadie's sweet personality and vulnerability to life. Connor Crais will forever be an instant buy for me as he always brings so much depth to the characters he portrays. I highly recommend this story in audio format.

swoony single dad
What an emotional and wonderful single dad story from Willow Aster.
I have to be honest I have never read or listened to anything that Willow Aster has written before,and I am so glad I got the opportunity to experience her writing.
This is book 1 in a series of single dad books..Thats right everyone you heard me A WHOLE SERIES of single Dad books squee !!
Mad Love is a fantastic start and makes you scream with joy about the delicious stories that will follow this one.
Weston and Sadie's relationship is a unique one...After discovering he has a baby called Caleb,Weston is thrown into the deep end of parenthood.
Taking care of a baby was not something Weston had ever anticipated,he is a pro football player he is used to holding footballs not babies.
Luckily Caleb's auntie is there to teach Weston all the things he needs to know about taking care of a child.
Sadie has assumed things about Weston,he may play for her favourite football team,but he is not her favourite person.
But that all changes unexpectedly when she spends lots of time with him and she realises he is not what she thought he was.
Weston is swoony I did love him and Sadie is such a strong woman who has been through so much.
Finding eachother through such tragic circumstances was not on the agenda but they are perfect together.
This story will charm you from the start,it is so heartwarming and heart breaking too.
I was so fortunate to have listened to the audiobook of this story and it is so so so AMAZING !!
Ava Erickson and Connor Crais are Excellent telling this story and portraying the characters with such emotion.
They are both incredible voice actors and super talented and I really enjoyed listening to them...I really recommend listening to this audiobook and if you love audios you will want this in your library.
I LOVED Willow Asters writing and this sports single dad book was written to perfection.
I adored it.

I can’t wait for more of the single dads club!!!
This book was aptly named; I fell madly in love with Weston & Sadie! While they had a tragic beginning, listening to Weston & Sadie heal each other, and fall in love was perfection.
The Single Dad Players club is hilarious and heartwarming, and I am so thrilled that we get to hear all of their stories in this series. Their text banter kept me giggling away, and the way they support each other as dads is freaking adorable!!
My heart ached for Sadie through so much of the story; so, seeing her find such a supportive girl gang through Weston, and having him love her the way she deserved was everything I wanted.
This audiobook was narrated by by Ava Erickson & Connor Crais. They did a fantastic job of telling this story with all of the love & emotion it deserved. I loved listening to them the whole way through!

A great series opener
I couldn’t wait for the Single Dad Playbook Series and Willow did not disappoint with this one! (I have since read Secret Love as well because I just love Willow’s writing!) I could listen to Connor Crais and Ava Erickson all day!
It’s single dad, dislike to lovers with a bit of a forbidden twist? What more could you want!
Oh that’s right a great group of friends who’ve basically made themselves a little single dad family! I loved the dynamic between the group and how they were always riling each other up but also always there for each other when they needed it!
This series is going to be incredible I already know it!

Mad Love
An awsome start for a new series.
I loved the story from the beginning. It all starts with a huge drama, which is also the first meeting between the billionaire, quarterback and now single dad Weston and Sadie, a struggling girl.
The story is sad, hilarious, s3xy and oh so h0t.
Definitely a recommendation from me!
And the narrators did an amazing job too.

Fantastic Story & Listen🎧Captivating & Emotional!
Wow, not only is this book fantastic, but it is an amazing start to a new series, “The Single Dad Playbook” series, a series of standalone sports romance novels. This book is Weston Shaw and Sadie Chapman’s story and is a small-town, a surprise baby, enemies-to-lovers romance. Weston, a professional football player, is the quarterback for his home team, the Colorado Mustangs, and is still coming down from the high of his team’s Super Bowl win. Then he gets a call from the hospital that his son was in the hospital, but he did not have a son, or so he thought. Sadie gets a call that her sister Sasha was in a car accident and she rushed to the hospital only to find out her sister did not make it, but her infant son, Caleb, was uninjured. When she goes to check on him, she sees a man there and she knows exactly who he is, Weston Shaw, Caleb’s dad, who was not in his son’s life. This is my first Willow Aster book, and I loved everything about it, from her wonderful writing style to the fabulous characters and storylines she created. The story captivated my attention the entire time, and once I started the book, I did not want to stop. There are a lot of layers to the story and it has a perfect balance of drama, charming moments, heartfelt emotions, and a slow burn but so worth the wait romance. I am also loving the single dad club and am looking forward to their stories as well. Willow Aster, thank you for this wonderful story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 With Ava Erickson and Connor Crais at the mic, you know you are in for a treat and an amazing performance. They are exceptional at bringing the characters to life and knowing who they are portraying. I love how they take each role and make it their own, sounding believable and just as I imagine the characters to sound. Crais is a natural in his role as Weston, showcasing his personality perfectly and Erickson is just as amazing in her role as Sadie, grasping all sides of her personality, and both brought out all of their character’s emotions and had you feeling each one. They are entertaining storytellers and their performance elevates this wonderful story to another level. Thank you for another fantastic listen.

Captivating
What a great start to a series and a cracking first read by an author I've never read before.
Mad love took me on such a ride of emotions you could feel the pain, tension and feelings rolling from the page.
This was a great sports romance, single dad mix. Loved how the stoey panned out and the chemistry that brewed between the couple. The support our mmc got from his team mates was so sweet. It was lovely how close they all were and the single dads handbook was such a great idea. I can't wait to get more from this group there are gonna be some intriguing stories coming I bet.
The audio was perfection. I haven't listened to a great deal of audios with Connor Crais but boy did he do a fantastic job with his characterisation of West. Ava Erickson rocked her role as usual. I absolutely adore the emotion she brings to her roles. Definitely an audio I'd recommend, I listened to it in one sitting I couldn't stop.
