About this listen

Buried under "You Are What You Eat" headlines is another perspective supported by the latest research: You are, actually, how you move. Move Your DNA explains the science behind our need for natural movement - right down to the cellular level. It examines the differences between the movements in a typical hunter-gatherer's life and the movements in our own. It shows the many problems with using exercise like movement vitamins instead of addressing the deeper issue of a poor movement diet. Best of all, Move Your DNA contains the corrective exercises, habit modifications, and simple lifestyle changes we need to make in order to free ourselves from disease and discover our naturally healthy, reflex driven selves. Brilliant delivery from a logical, scientific wealth of knowledge.

Everyone should listen to this, to understand who they are physiologically & how we can simply improve our overall health just by moving, even vaguely like we have evolved to as primates and mammals. KB delivers such comprehensive and up to date insight about the human body, with conversational ease.

Brilliant book, fun to listen author

This book sums up the last 15 years of coaching and athletic experience I have, explains beautifully the miskates I did so repeatedly during that time and the conclusions one can boil from them. If you want to be healthy or at least do your best on that direction - this is a must read book!

Important message, fun delivery

I listen to her podcast regularly, but would listen to Katy read the phone book. Her work is life-changing, real food for thought, but so accessible too. As someone who struggled with movement through chronic illness, she has given me an understanding of how subtle changes can make a world of difference. I am so much stronger for her input, thanks Katy!

New ideas!

A very Interesting book on how we look at exercise and how our bodies are designed to move. Will certainly be trying these movements throughout everyday activities to regain motions lost in the modern day environments. Thanks Katy!
