About this listen
I’ve lied to myself for years about being in love with my best friend.
Everly Bowman and I don’t make sense. She’s sunshine personified, and I hate everyone. Well, everyone but her. It’s easy to pretend like she isn’t my whole world. Or it was, until she needs a place to stay, and my apartment is her only option.
Suddenly, she's everywhere I turn. Even her scent is branded into my sheets. And thanks to our unofficial romance book club, I’ve also amassed an encyclopedia titled Everly’s Pleasure Buttons. Each week, it gets harder to ignore how much I want to make her fantasies come true. Especially when we crawl into my bed every night.
But I won’t jeopardize what we have for anything, so I’m fine lying to myself and pretending like I don’t dream of calling her mine.
At least, I was until I see her with him.
Narrated in duet by Connor Crais and Stephanie Rose.
©2022 Brighton Walsh (P)2023 Brighton WalshFriends to lovers isn't usually a favourite of mine but this one I loved, although Everly is oblivious to Beck at the beginning once the blinkers come off she is all in and Beck has been down bad for her for a long time, especially thanks to the smutty book club they have fallen into reading together so he has first hand knowledge of the kinds of things that rev Everly's engine and boy does he use that knowledge to his advantage when the time comes. The spice in this is fantastic and only adds to the development and connection between these two in my opinion, plus as I've said before a MMC with a filthy mouth is like catnip to me so this was just *chefs kiss. It is narrated by Stephanie Rose & Connor Crais in Duet style narration. They both do an incredible job but honourable mention has to go to Mr Crais as his deep gravely voice was just perfection as Beck! Thank you Brighton Walsh for your casting choices! Another reread and again just as great as the first time I read it. 🌶🌶🌶🌶
Where do I fine a Beck McKenzie??
