Summary
A complete and comprehensive book to help you reduce your risk of injury, overcome a current injury or increase your running performance safely.
Runners are constantly looking for information to reduce their risk of injury because nobody likes the "injured runner" life. Despite what you may have been told, the primary cause behind running-related injuries is not from heel striking, poor flexibility, over-pronation, or any other biomechanical variations. Instead, training errors are the primary cause. If you can invest your time to learn about healthy training habits and develop key injury insights, you’ll give yourself a massive training advantage.
Learn how to run smarter with science and with expert opinions, because failing to learn these training and rehabilitation principles can lead to stubborn running injuries or hinder your full running potential. So, survive and thrive by building upon your running wisdom.
Written by Brodie, a physiotherapist, owner of the Run Smarter Physiotherapy Clinic and host of the popular Run Smarter podcast, which in its first two years of recording climbed to the top one percent of podcasts globally. Brodie is on a mission to spread the right information to the running community and help separate evidence-based facts from the widespread running misconceptions.

A wealth of running and, evidence-based, injury prevention knowledge
I’ve listened to Brodie’s “Run Smarter” podcast since its inception and have always been impressed with his approach to helping runners of all levels build their knowledge to become a smarter runner. Brodie’s book builds on his successful podcast and draws upon his knowledge & experience, and that of leading sports scientists, to deliver evidence-based information to help the runner to achieve their running goals, whilst mitigating the risk of injury. Whether you’re new to running, or wanting to build on your experience to achieve that marathon/ultra marathon personal best, this book will certainly help.

An amazing running resource
I've read a lot of running books and this is my favourite. what makes it so different, For a beginner or average runner it provides the core knowledge that we need and more importantly the advice is backed up by the latest science Brodie isn't pushing any agenda/ philosophy or the latest trend as most running books do.He simply and clearly presents the nuts and bolts that will make you a better happier runner, To put it simply it's a goldmine of info. I'll return again and again to it as a reference to improve as a runner, thankyou Brodie

By far best running book I've read ,thank yo Brodie.Well read, easy to understand without continuously asking reader to refer to an website,
Coming off a year of ITB and knee injury this book has given me the information I've been looking for,and now more confidence in the coming months. And on top of that, useful advice which can be used covering the common issues beginners and experienced runners often need help sift though the huge amount out there.
