Interesting listen
Definitely will listen to this book again as there is a lot of information to take in. Due to this I will probably buy the hard copy as back up.

Is there anything that’s not in this book? Nope
If you have something you want to know about ultrarunning, it’s in this book, somewhere. Helped me plan my training for my first ultra (next week) & covered a lot of topics I didn’t even know I needed to know. The bonus, the author is a really good narrator.

Really enjoyed this one
Very thorough but learned so much I implement in my training right away. With so much different believes around it is good to have a book that has combined experience with science

An absolute vault of information and insight to help even the most experience or well read ultra runner prepare for their next race, next season and every season to come.
No stock training plans, this is so much more than that and so much information that is transferable back to road running or other endurance endeavours.

Truly a goldmine of information for new runners!
If you are new to the sport of ultra marathon running and seeking a comprehensive guide covering everything from nutrition to mental fortitude, then this book is a must-read! Despite having been involved in the sport for a couple of years, I found myself learning a wealth of new information that will undoubtedly elevate my performance among fellow runners.

Great listen while training/running...
I would have never thought this audio format would work for this book. I first bought the printed version, but found that the combination of audiobook and physical copy would even be better.
Now I use the physical copy as my reference guide and listen to the audio book (or specific chapters) during my long runs or training sessions.
The audio book includes several guest speakers from the world of exercises science to go over a specific subject within the grand scope of the chapter in a bit of a podcast-style interview. This way the audiobook becomes so much more than a boring read, but turns it into a great format to gain knowledge about ultrarunning.
