About this listen

Everyone thinks my husband is dead. Just like we planned…

Eleven years ago, my husband disappeared. Eleven long hard years I waited, my heart breaking for our son, who didn’t know his father was coming back.

Today, my hands shake as I try to understand what I’ve just learned: my husband has a new wife. This wasn’t part of our plan.

Eleven years ago, my husband made a terrible mistake. I sacrificed everything to help him fix it. But now he’s put our son and me in danger again.

We had a plan. He broke the rules. But who will pay the price?

An interesting listen. K L Slater at her best. An intriguiging story that embraces human emotion and social beliefs. I enjoyed it very much

Well thought out

Excellent narration kept my attention but the plot twists and turns in ridiculous directions so I can’t recommend this very strongly. But it was a freebie so mustn’t grumble!

Starts well but gets rather silly

Ending was a bit flat, quite predictable in places, ok storyline but a little unrealistic to be honest

Bit far fetched

Lots of unlikeable characters, making crazy decisions and everyone lying! This story was so unbelievable, it was slightly annoying. I did like some of the twists but on the whole found myself rolling my eyes at the ending.

Trying too hard!

I thought the story flowed beautifully and the characters were fleshed out really well. Twists and turns. All in all a good book and well read.
