About this listen
Crushes are harmless—unless they involve your best friend’s grumpy, off-limits brother.
Gannon Brewer is the epitome of my type. He’s at least ten years older than me, emotionally unavailable, and highly disagreeable—a walking red flag in a tailored suit. But do I listen to that? No. In fact, when his office plants start dying, I convince myself that I can ignore the pheromones and save the philodendron.
Now I’m in his office every week, dodging sinful smirks and heated stares, reminding myself to reach for the watering can—not him. But one “ivy incident” changes everything. Suddenly, we’re sneaking around, indulging in a steamy, forbidden fling that’s supposed to be nothing more than (a lot of) fun.
After all, he swears he’ll never fall in love. I assure him that I only want one thing, and it’s not his heart. But the closer we get, the more lines we blur, and the harder it becomes to keep our promises …
Especially when the secret I’m keeping threatens to shatter everything.

great
I don’t know how Adriana does it but every time I finish one of the Brewers’s books I thinks I may just found the perfect hero but then the next one is even better. Gannon and Carys do not fit at all. He is older, grumpy and, apparently emotionally unavailable. She is young, avoids commitment and is his younger brother’s best friend. A physical relationship without ties it’s the best they can afford and offer each other. But they are mean to be together and find each other the own best version as a person and as a couple. Swoony, sweet, steamy and funny moments during all the audiobook with amazing Jack Callahan and Angelina Rocca makes an incredible story and even better one. Thanks to HomeCooked Books for the ALC. This is my honest review.

Sweet
This is a grumpy/sunshine romance that starts as a hookup and grows to be more. Birth characters shift a bit as the story progresses as they get over their own stuff and realize they're actually great for each other. The drama in this is so minor that you almost can't even call it such. It's resolved quickly, and things move along. It's not about the characters getting out of their own heads and out of their own way.
I listened to this one on audiobook and really enjoyed it. Both narrators did a great job voicing these characters, and I'd listen to anything else they narrate.

Wonderful Story and Characters!
The Merger was such a fun and entertaining listen! Great storyline with excellent narration. Carys Johnson and Gannon Brewer had an undeniable attraction and once Gannon gave in to his feelings/desires, he fell hard and fast! Carys had me laughing with her interactions with Gannon and how she loved to push his buttons. Adored her friendship with Tate and how real they could be with one another. Angelina Rocca and Jack Calihan gave stellar performances and had me captivated with their storytelling. Their voices flowed effortlessly together throughout the story and made a great pairing for this book.
