Summary
Zero Point is the second audiobook in Neal Asher's near-future science fiction Owner series.

one of his best books
some books just work well. this one has great pace, and although it's not set too far in the future it remains to be a fantastic Sci-Fi adventure.

Lot of death and nefarious goverment doing this and that in these series, but books are surprising and enjoyable to follow.

Brilliant Series

Much better than the first
This book is much better than the first in the series. I know that second books in a series tend to get higher star ratings because people who liked the first are more likely to get, listen and like the second, but I genuinely think this is better than the previous book. Well worth a read even if you were a little unsure about the first one.

Excellent trilogy of quality writing and narration
I have just finished the whole trilogy in about 10 days. It's been a while since I had a story as well written and as well narrated as this was. And having said that, I'm not going to pick holes in either as some reviewers do. I just enjoyed the concept, the continuity, the characters and the excellent narration. Best sifi writing I have experienced in a long time. Thanks.

... and so it continues
hand-to-hand combats in vacuum, space station. robots with morals, humans without morals and psychotic running earth by killing more. it's spine chilling of how the current present is so closely heading towards the fiction of this novel.

Why do I sympathise with the bad guy?
Is the killing of one person ok if it saves 10? Is the killing of billions of humans ok if it saves the human race from extinction? If we cannot educate humans to stop having 3 or more children then the world will not survive; so is compulsory sterilisation justified? So how bad is the baddie who does these things? This book makes me think that this is our future, our choice, our destiny when we are too self centred to correct it now!
