S-I-M-P-L-E and U-S-E-F-U-L
I liked how S-I-M-P-L-E this book was to follow. The method had practical steps that didn’t feel overwhelming, which is nice when you're already stressed. The exercises were effective, and I appreciated how the author explained things like how your brain can actually "retrain" itself. Valerie Gilbert’s narration was calming and upbeat—it really matched the vibe of the book.

perfect for listening during short breaks or commu
The 4-hour runtime is perfect for listening during short breaks or commutes, and the narration by Valerie Gilbert is warm and easy to follow. I liked the simple, no-nonsense approach to stress management, especially the six steps that feel practical and easy to implement in daily life. The personal stories and science behind stress were insightful, making the advice feel grounded in real experience.
That said, some of the tips felt a bit basic, and if you’re already familiar with stress management techniques, you might not find anything groundbreaking. Still, it’s a great starting point if you need something quick and actionable to help ease your mind. Overall, it’s a comforting listen that could make a real difference in how you handle stress.

Invaluable lessons
Invaluable lessons about how our brain is wired to focus on negativity, but we have the power to focus on good things. Even though it requires hard work, you can always rewire your brain no matter the age. Stress can steal your daily joy but you have the power to reclaim it with the right mindset and tools. it says you should evaluate your daily stressors and eliminate them from your life completely or find a way to think about them more positively.
Great techniques like 4-7-8 breathing techniques method its very helpful for reducing stress and anxiety. The book provided so many practices you can apply in your daily life to release stress, such as PMR or exercises and I thought that was powerful.
From the author's experiences, Stress is inevitable but how you respond to it is within your control. It’s a blessing and insightful coming from someone who’s been through it and is willing to share with others how to overcome challenges.
