Summary
Intuitive Eating is a workbook with a complete and straightforward program to mindful eating. You will learn how to stop emotional and binge eating, cure procrastination, and get the desired weight loss.
Do you sometimes feel that your emotions push you to eat? Would you like to cure procrastination? Just keep reading to find out more!
Intuitive eating is an approach to health and food that has nothing to do with diets, meal plans, discipline, or willpower. It teaches you how to get in touch with your body cues like hunger, fullness, and satisfaction while learning to trust your body around food again.
Here’s an overview of intuitive eating, including the science behind it, the 10 principles of intuitive eating, and the difference between intuitive eating and mindful eating. For more info on ditching the diet and healing your relationship with food, check out the Intuitive Eating Crash Course.
From a professional nutrition perspective, intuitive eating is a framework that helps us keep nutrition interventions behavior-focused instead of restrictive or rule-focused. This book will help you in managing your emotions!
Here it is what you will find inside:
- A brief history of intuitive nutrition
- How to beat bad habits and develop healthy ones
- Examples of intuitive recipes
- What is the relation between health and nutrition
And much more...
You can tell right there that Intuitive Eating encompasses the principles of mindful eating. However, it goes a step further, also addressing the importance of rejecting the dieting mentality, respecting your body (regardless of your weight or shape), coping with emotional eating, and gentle movement and nutrition without judgment.

Did I get the wrong book?
Firstly, sounds like it’s being read by a robot. Secondly, the chapters don’t even match what’s being discussed, e.g. chapter 1 was meant to be an intro to intuitive eating, but focused entirely on how to help parents get their children to be intuitive eaters... I don’t have children so completely irrelevant. The second chapter was just dictated recipes, which makes no sense considering intuitive eating is supposed to be about whatever you personally want to eat. And the third chapter was meant to be about health and nutrition, instead it talked incessantly about why plant-based diets were the best. How does that a) tie into the chapter title and b) tie into being able to eat whatever I want? Gave up after that.

Useless book read by someone who doesn’t understand the text
It’s a compilation of modern attempts to diet and no real explanation or guidance is offer as how to learn or implement intuitive eating.

Very Helpful
I suffer a lot because of my relationship with food and I hope this audiobook will help me. I will follow all the suggestions contained in it. The most important thing is that I found my personality type in relation with food.
